It's a physical sport for goodness sake. If you get hurt being tackled, it's your own fault for having the ball.

i agree in some respects, but look how many squads have injured players because of hard tackles in the league, broken bones is no longer a rare thing.... and lets not go so far back as to allowplayers like Roy Keane to end a persons career for revenge.

How are they going to know if a technology is 100 percent accurate unless they 'consider' it, which they are refusing to do.

Bah.

^^^^With all the claims of bad refs you think they would have been using this by now.

Hehe, cant since 1968. Ouch!

England did play a lot better in their third match than in their first two, but theyre still going to need to step it up to be able to beat a south american or european power house.

I was hoping for them to lose so it would be Germany vs England.

Re: The OFFICIAL TG FIFA World Cup 06 Predictions/discussion/hype thread

Man...

I was really hoping England would get far in the tourney...but they way their giving up goals I'm not sure if they can. Both of those goals today were very weak!!

I was really hoping for much more out of the England center backs...Terry and Ferdinand..They just looked like two guys today..and my man Sol Campbell wasn't much better on the second goal.

Also, do you guys think Robinson should of collected that ball after it went over Campbell?? He stood planted on his line...almost as if he was scared..

Gotta get better...and fast.

Re: The OFFICIAL TG FIFA World Cup 06 Predictions/discussion/hype thread

Well one thing you will learn about watching England is that they never make it look easy. Luckily for us we always step up to the opponents - just 6 months ago we beat pretty much this Argentina team.

First half was very good for us, we were toally dominant. Second half we just sat back too much and eventually the pressure told. Fitness is becoming more and more telling now however with yet more injury worries We played better because we actually used our midfield this time. Maybe Rio was listening when I said to my mate that if he pumped one more aimless ball up to Crouch I was going to fly over to Germany and break his leg.

Speaking of Crouch, i cant stand looking at his lanky legs. It looks like the man is about to break every time he lands.

I'm sure most of my fellow football fans have seen this...but if not:

The story of the New York Cosmos...should be interesting...

Also, bad news about Owen
I'll have to start giving my little brother some stick as Newcastle is one of his favorites...besides Celtic.

Re: The OFFICIAL TG FIFA World Cup 06 Predictions/discussion/hype thread

My question is this...why not play Theo in the second half against Sweden??? If he doesn't play then what's the freaking point?? I'm sure Jermaine Defoe is very happy right about now.

Tommarow is USA vs Ghana and Italy vs Czech. Two very important games going on the same time. Other games don't matter Japan is gonna get owned by Brazil.
