Re: The OFFICIAL TG FIFA World Cup 06 Predictions/discussion/hype thread

I'm dissapointed. I was really hoping to see Germany and France in the final. The way this cup has been going, it will probably be Portugal vs Italy, and there will be people diving left and right.

I was hoping to see some more action from Podolski and Klose, I enjoyed watching those two throughout the tournament.

Ah well, gg.

Both keepers really earned their pay this game though. Some nice saves on both sides.

Yeah you're right. Lehmann had no chance stopping those two shots that went past him but that's not his fault. If the game had gone to penalties I'm sure Jens would have won the match for Germany.

I see Italy v. France in an all-out surrender duel the likes of which the world hasn't seen.

The agony of the almost-injury! The incapacitating phantom foul!

The yawns of the world.

Same. I really wish I could find a place that sells an authentic Klose jersey. Either way I best start saving up for a Germany home jersey.

Dammit, I was pulling for Germany. I can't stand the flopping Italian team - it's a disgrace to the sport and masculinity!

Well,

As much as I wanted Germany to win..the Italian defense was very strong...and combine that with the effects of the Argentina match on the Germans and you have an Italian win.

Very sad indeed. Although one bright note...the ref was very good I thought...a first for this world cup!! LOL

I don't think you could fit "RGM-79N_GM_CUstom" onto the back of a jersey.

What do you guys think of the penalty shot all at 32'? I say no foul but I can see why the ref called it. The Portugese defender almost blocked it.

I'm happy with the decision and the result. Looking forward to a great final if both teams are on top of their game.

The ending there was rather tense .

Yeah, I agree with the decision...it was a tough call...almost makes you wish there was no replay.

Portugal was doing a lot more acting than France this match. It was pretty desperate.

Re: The OFFICIAL TG FIFA World Cup 06 Predictions/discussion/hype thread

Wow,

If I was a Portugal fan I'd be embarassed....what a bunch of divers..We all know about Ronaldo..but crap..every chance they had to dive they did...Plus the behaviour of the bench and their coach Scolari was terrible...they should be fined or punished in some way.

France deserved the win, Henry did just enough to earn the PK....and that idiot Barthez almost gave Portugal a goal...what the hell was he doing on that freekick?? Crap man...if you can't catch it...punch it out!! Coupet should be playing goal for France..

If Henry comes to play we may have quite a match...if not the Italians will just wait it out until the last 15 minutes or so and then attack the French once they are tired. France has to keep better possession than they did today....and to help Henry up top maybe go with 2 strikers instead on 1.
