Icky (correct me if I'm wrong) is talking about Canadian Smarties. They're a lot like M&M's I hear. I recently discovered that American Smarties (which are actually manufactured at a plant in Canada [oh the irony!]) are the tart little round candies that Canadians know as Rockets.

That generalization isn't true. Different men prefer different types of women, even if the media would suggest otherwise. There are commonalities, but I'm not going to get into the details here.

M&M's only became well-known to me in around 1982 or so. That's my guess at when they were introduced in Canada. Since Smarties were very well known already, M&M's looked like an imitation, but they had better melt-in-your-hand resistance.
