JUST PICK ONE. Another music thread...

Ok, it's that time of the playlist again where I need some new music. My IPOD can't handle any more of the tired old crap that I keep putting on it. I know there are already a few music threads going, but the problem is that people recommend entire bands instead of songs, which makes it take too long to find the good music.

Here are the rules:
1. You can list ONE SONG ONLY. 'Artist name - song' format.

2. DO NOT put down a song because it has some emotional, esoteric, strangely attractive connection with your subconscious/you lost your virginity to/it's your friends band. PICK A SONG THAT OTHER PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY LIKE.

3. I don't care if they are a little known indie band, but when choosing your song by them, attempt to pick the most 'mainstream' song. Or, if they had only one song that would get on the radio, pick that song.

It doesn't have to be your favorite song of all time, or even a good band. Just pick a song that for some reason got under your musical skin. You know, one of those songs that you can just put on repeat and not get sick of it after the third time you've heard it. If it is a really popular band, try picking one of their songs that didn't make it as a single on the radio, but you thought should have.

I'm going to go straight down this thread and try every song recommended. I like all kinds of music so I'm not even worried about the category, just that it is a good song. Oh and Thanks!

Here's my recommendation. It is a song that came out about a year and a half ago and I think has an extremely attractive sounding melody, it's not my favorite song, nor even a band I particularly like, but it's what I've been listening to lately.

That Pinback is really infectious. "AFK" (also on that page) is another great song, which some people think is a metaphor for MMORPGs. But the entire last album is very very good.

Another recent favorite of mine: Broken Social Scene - Anthems for a 17 Year old Girl. It's not my favorite BSS song, but it's probably the best 'first' song of theirs to listen to.
