Seriously though, are you suggesting that there's nothing a little weird about buying a little girl a stripper-training kit? I wondered if this might instead be an "adult" toy. In which case, I might be in the market for one. Can't do it at Christmas because family will be around. Maybe for our next wedding anniversary? It's thoughtful, and personal!

yeah i might buy one.... but only if it comes with the model on the site tarpan posted.... mmmmmm

Good call.

Weird? Not really. So many sexually "explicit" items are marketted to children. "Porn Star" t-shirts, idealized dolls that are so disportionate as would create distorted humans (look at barbie dolls, they would be freaks if they were real), and TV in general. The only problem I have with it is the idealization. Further, I find nothing wrong with strippers. The good one makes great money. The real disgusting part of the stripping industry are the guys at the clubs. The looks on their faces and the way they treat the women can literally make me sick.

Provided this was marketted towards young girls, I don't know. I do know that it's up to parents to raise their kids how they see fit. And kids generally don't have the money to buy stuff like this on their own. I don't see a point in sheltering kids from sex and violence (although, there are limits to what I think their brain can handle at certain developemental points).

I will say this: I'd rather my daughter own this toy than wear short-shorts that show the bottom of her butt while sporting a "Porn Star" t-shirt.

"The retailer denied the pole dancing kit was sexually oriented and it was clearly marked for adult use."

In my house that will not be an either-or situation. No, and no.

I figured this was probably a "keyword" goof. Some etailer's webmaster filed it under the "toy" section without ever looking at it so you'd cruise through children's toys then blammo there's this pole thing. Awesome to the max.

You'll be wanting that sucker to come in the mail six weeks after November, my friend.

While you may be (I stress the may) coordinated enough to dance around the pole for your wife, don't you think she'll be a little freaked out by your hot pants and garter? Or are you one of those thong men, like Borat?
