Losing Larry Bird as a resident of Naples...
Nothing big or exciting for any of you, unless you have 4.8 million dollars...
Larry Bird has been a resident of the City of Naples for nearly 20 years... I first went into his house a number of times for the alarm going off and clearing it, then he sprained his ankle one morning jogging, and I gave him a lift home, (I was on patrol), then he took his daughter to the movies the same time I took mine, he noticed me came up and sat and we BS'ed a little before the movie started, a kid show, lol... He invited me over with the kids, they played, we talked and he gave me a signed basketball.... fantastic dude on the court and off. Sorry to see him leave... check out his house, especially the theater room, why he ever needed to go to the movies is beyond me, lol. http://www.premier-properties.com/li....asp?LID=26042 |

I always loved watching him on the court. I used to live in Boston when he was on the Celtics...BACK IN THE DAY!
I remember him doing a commercial where he had to miss a three point shot and it took him a few tries to MISS!!!! LOL! |

Bird vs Magic for the win! I loved those guys. I couldn't resist cheering for Magic, but I loved what Bird could do.

Not only where they themselves great, they made their teammates play better. Wasnt always about them, it was the team. Which i think to many big baskball players today forget
