Same - I caught 16 passes, but I can't help thinking that i took my eye off the ball because I was waiting for something unexpected to happen. My thoughts were that some trick would happen with the white shirted players, but the ape got my attention as soon as it moved on screen. I did not however see it beat its chest as I was back to counting passes.

I saw something that got in the way of me counting. I thought it was a trick and to distract me so I concentrated harder on the ball. Didn't know it was a ape man.

This is also important for eye witness accounts. I have seen, and actually participated in, a demonstration of this.

In one there was a "bad" looking guy (white male, beard, long hair, dirty clothes, about 220lb, around 30 over 6 feet) walk in front of the class. Moments later somebody "stole" a purse from one of the students.

Nobody could come up with a good description of the thief. Most actually described the guy that walked through.

In fact is was a 22 year old female grad assitant. About 100 pounds and 5 foot 4.

Eyewitnesses suck. There is quit a bit of research to show this. Some of it is due to those questioning the witnesses. Having a good questioning method can help alot.

I had the misfortune of being robbed while I was working at a corner store when I was about 16. I stayed as calm as possible while it was happening, and I stood there and noted features of the 2 guys as they cleaned out the registers and emptied the safe. After I stood and stared for awhile, one of them made me lie down on the ground. When the police came all I had to offer was: one had a knife, the other had a crowbar, their heads were covered with nylons and I think one of them was wearing jeans. I was so pissed off at myself for being unable to describe them, but nothing had stayed put in my head.

On the bright side, getting robbed was a fantastic excuse for being late for school the next day.

I use the vid in my intro to psy class every time I teach it. usually upwards of 75% dont see the gorilla.

That seems a highly respectful and honorific term to me, but you 7th are all on the tail-end(s) of the bell-curve, so I'm not surprised youve turned it into a mockery of all that's good, noble, and agog with the wonder of it all.

I didn't take time to watch the video, there was a post after that first one, so I read it, too. And the next. And the next. Then Bommando mentioned goldfish, and I don't remember what happened after that.

I'm eating a really good chewy nut bar. I think I need to floss.
