Dead serious. Obviously its not a joke. If anything is a joke, it is the global warming cultists.

So, I'll bite. Seriously, I don't listen to right wing talk radio, so who are these "global warming cultists" that you speak of? Who is their leader? What actual organization do they belong to? How are they able to falsify millions of years of objective scientific data that prove the amount of C02 in the atmosphere is unnaturally high, as well are global temperatures, despite the known cooling effects caused by our other pollutants? I know I'm being contentious, and I apologize, but, I am honestly interested in hearing more specifics about these cultist that want to take down society with their predictions, observations and measurements of the natural world. Maybe they'll let me join them...or...maybe...they've already got to me!

I just thought that your post just might have been a joke, because I've seriously never heard that there is apparently some secret conspiracy perpetrated by the world's scientists, who I understand now are all secretly communists, to destroy the world by studying it and reporting their findings. You make it seem like scientists all over the world have a hidden goal to tell people how to live their lives, and have just now finally thought of "global warming" to use as a scare tactic to gain the power they've secretly desired so they can install Communist governments all over the world. Is that not what you are saying? Also, you used the Aztecs to prove your point about something, who I do believe are said to have all died because of their overpopulation and overuse of their limited natural resources, so there is some irony there. That just sounds awfully close to a made up conspiracy theory.

Since there actually is a conspiracy (Bush Administration and NASA) to hide and alter data that proves the predictions about the impact and consequences of pollution on the environment, creating a counter, fictional conspiracy theory makes it seem like there are two sides to an unprovable debate (to the people who watch TV news at least), instead of just people making too much money destroying the planet to stop, and the scientists who are watching what they are doing.

You really need to read this whole thread. It sounds like the cultists have gotten to you, as the issue is not as cut and dried as you are trying to make it sound.

Okay, I get it. I just thought I'd add in the last part to attempt to explain the existence and purpose of such a theory.

Oh, and in case it hasn't been brought up like I assumed, and I sound like I'm making up a conspiracy similiar to the "global warming cult of communist scientist", I've seen a hearing in Congress about how climate change reports are being edited. I'm not going to explain it all, but it's actually happening.

Well, my name is "GlobalWarmin", so might it be possible that I am already familiar with the factual information that would have made it into this thread? The conspiracy stuff though, I have to say I wasn't aware how widely accepted it was by people. I don't get my news from blogs. It's not like I need any education from internet links spread through 30 forum pages, and I didn't need to write a 100 pages to support my argument, because I assumed they already existed in this incredibly long thread.

Guess I had no idea everyone in the TG community wouldn't be in such strong support of the petroleum industry, the GOP, and internet conspiracies.

Do you want me to elaborate more? I assume you are aware of what I'm talking about when I mention C02 levels, global temperatures, and global dimming. Those were just three examples of evidence I wanted to mention to debunk the premise that scientists are lying in order to advance their secret cause of worldwide, Communist takeover and destruction. I also mention the scientific method at the end, also in order to debunk the idea that published scientific reports are false propaganda for the so-called global warming cult, aimed at controlling the way people live.
