In real life, I am Captian CO2, expert on all sorts of gaseous emissions (just ask my wife), so I can assure you that I know much more about these issues that you do. And I can assure you as long as you can that I know more than anyone else and that these issues are overblown stuff and things.

Do you want me to elaborate more? I assume you are aware of what I'm talking about when I mention C02 levels, global temperatures, and global dimming. Those were just three examples of evidence I wanted to mention to debunk the premise that scientists are lying in order to advance their secret cause of worldwide, Communist takeover and destruction. I also mention the scientific method at the end, also in order to debunk the idea that published scientific reports are false propaganda for the so-called global warming cult, aimed at controlling the way people live.

As you seem to be well versed on parts of global warming that you can blurt out a couple of key buzzwords, let me point you towards a couple concepts:

The Universe is getting warmer, not just Earth. The sun is warming up the universe. Investigate Solar Radiation and it's impact on Earth and it's weather. Secondly, it's also worth investigating the Urban Heat Effect and specifically placement of GISS Weather Stations. You'll tend to find that researchers are finding that half of the weather stations are influenced by the Urban Heat Effect. Third, with the current Re-adjustments to the Global Temperatures, the CO2 correlation to temperature has been broken. Tie that in with that Ice Core sampling is a poor way to measure CO2 anyway, and those millions of years of CO2 measurement is useless. Global Dimming creates warming, well some research also indicates Global Brightening creates warming. So what does that spell beyond Doom!

Do make the effort to read through this thread, plus the other 25 page Global Warming thread. There is tons of information in there from both sides.

Well, my name is "GlobalWarmin", so might it be possible that I am already familiar with the factual information that would have made it into this thread? The conspiracy stuff though, I have to say I wasn't aware how widely accepted it was by people. I don't get my news from blogs. It's not like I need any education from internet links spread through 30 forum pages, and I didn't need to write a 100 pages to support my argument, because I assumed they already existed in this incredibly long thread.

What you need is an education in humility.

Since you are unwilling to read all of the information that has already been discussed, why don't you present us with YOUR evidence that shows that global warming is caused by humans? Then we can either be amazed and all change our minds and agree with you, or we'll poke all kinds of holes in your argument like we have in all the others. I don't even know if there is enough information or if we're capable of analyzing the information that would absolutely prove that global warming is caused by humans.

Either someone is going to explain something to me about this cult of commi scientists that secretly want to take over the world and destroy it, or not. That's all I asked about. I'm not going to waste any time reading all these posts, most of which have nothing to do with global warming, and many of which are pretty out there, and I'm not going to waste time writing a book about climate change and the effects of politics on science to try and convince a handful of people on a message board. So, I was just asking, even the one who thinks (hopefully as a typo) that global dimming creates warming, what is the story behind your conspiracy theory?

Oh, and seriously? I haven't seen anyone claim that there's some super secret cult that is propagating the whole global warming thing. As I've said before, I think it's just another sensational news story, handled just like the media does with any situation that has the end of the world as we know it as a possible outcome. Just wait until Apophis (the rock hurltling towards us in space, not the benevolant deity of this site) gets a bit closer. Imagine the graphics they can show during the evening news!

I didn't want to have spend time debating this with anyone, but I'll give you the respect of replying to your remarks, even though aren't responses to my questions.

First, the universe is cooling because it is expanding. The solar system may predicted to be gradually warming because of the sun, who's surface temperature is not changing at this time, but I don't think we have the comparable temperature data from other planets to determine that they are also warming at the same rates as the Earth. The IPCC report, which I have not read in entirety, and which was also edited to give a more conservative slant, was supposed to have addressed solar radiation and found it unlikely to be a factor. Regardless, solar radiation melting glaciers and ice caps at that rate should still be cause for some concern, especially in consideration of all the other environmental issues facing human civilizations.

Second, the urban heat effect is just another example of man-made global warming. If anything, the urban heat effect makes global warming worse and more real, opposed to being proof of incorrect temperature data that disproves global warming. Also, I believe that global surface and atmosphere temperatures confirm warming predictions made (not everywhere %100 of the time, but enough), so the placement of ground weather stations near major urban centers I don't think changes much. But, I don't doubt that weather stations near large cities report higher temperature than rural ones, but that is still the accurate surface temperature of that location.

Third, I'd like to know more about how rising temperatures have broken the relationship between C02 and temperature, and how the ice and soil measurements of C02 have become useless.

Fourth, global dimming does not cause warming. It causes cooling, and is now known to have been masking the effects of global brightening and greenhouse gases.

Lastly, I got a few pages into this thread and I'd seen enough. I just got such a kick out of hearing about this supposed communist global warming cult on the last page that I had to ask about it.

I think people who cling to the lies of man made global warming are like the Aztecs who used to sacrifice humans to appease the sun gods or the Salem witch trials where a boogy man was invented and innocent people paid with their lives. The hysteria behind the cult of global warming is so similar to those cults of past time that it is scary. Instead of saying lets toss people in the volcano to apease the 'gods', they say lets starve the people of earth , send the entire worlds economy to heck, and set civilization back to 100's of years all in the name to appease the global warming "gods" while handing over full control of our lives to government which is the real reason the cultist push the lie of man made global warming so that we can have a communist world and GW is their tool to get there.
