You're confusing 1926 with something else, then, because you most definitely could not buy a bottle from their website for 1500 (pounds OR dollars) in the last few decades, much less last week.

They have had no price listed in the last couple of years: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://...tems/1920.html

And now they'll only sell it if you buy their collection of all 38 fine and rare vintage bottles, which would set you back a pretty penny. But, hey, the MegaMillions jackpot is up around $150 this week...

Re: WASTED...need help.

The price is listed on the application. And my dad, who is filthy stinking rich (even though Im dirt poor and dont see a cent of my parents money), did buy the whole collection. Scotch is ALL he drinks. And I mean in the sense that if its not scotch, its water. No wine, no beer, no rum, just scotch. And he likes it mucho expensive. He has something around 65-70 different bottles in the house unopened.

Ferris, I think the next TG BBQ bash is going to be at your parents house.

Actually, I take that back. I KNOW it will be there.

Epikak. I think that's how you spell it. Induces vomiting. Not the most fun, but it works.

What? How in the world would inducing vomiting help? That would only help if done immediately after drinking. Talk about a buzzkill...

Re: WASTED...need help.

Besides, you have to have a prescription for epikak anyway. Not something you can just walk into walgreens and buy over the counter. But cing's right. It wouldnt help drunkenness in the slightest and would actually make matters worse as you'd become MORE dehydrated.

Umm, Ipecac can be bought over the counter in every drug store that I've ever been in... For the longest time, it was recommended to be in every home's first aid kit in case of poisoning. I think that activated charcoal is the recommended first aid treatment now, though.

We've got it, but it isn't to be used unless the Poison Hotline says so. In my poison-berry-loving son's case, we just went straight to the hospital for charcoal treatment. Yum!

This thread has run way beyond it's course.

It's important to understand the importance of being hydrated, though. If you're dehydrated to begin with, just a couple of beers or a glass of wine could give you a hangover.

Being dehydrated is also a cheap drunk.

After working all day roofing in the Oklahoma summers 2-3 beers and I was pretty drunk.
