I researched into it and the kid might actually have a case if pastafarianism was officially recognized as a religion, which it isnt. Hell, when I was in high school, we justified cutting classes under the notion that we followed the religion of skipadayoschoolism. that doesnt mean we were a recognized religion.

And what person in their right mind would make up a religion to solely exploit the benefits? That's disrespectful and abuse of rights IMO.

The Wussenism religion says that exploiting your rights is punishable by death. Specifically, strangulation by spaghetti... But, I highly doubt that would fly.

Isn't the whole point of Pastafarianism that it is a legitimate religion, and the consequences of its dictates have as much weight and validity as other older religions?

Of course hes not serious, this is Icky we're talking about.

And this kid isnt "disrespectful" or anything. Im sure he did this purely for the hilarity of it, and he knew it probably wouldnt float by a principal or whoever. Im sure the spaghetti monster followers were not offended...
