I may get beaned for saying so, but... Al Gore.

I'd vote for Obama, Edwards, or even Kucinich, but if Gore were running he'd be closest to my politics.

It seems like the Israeli government loves to take advantage of that confusion between a nation and a race, using it to squelch any opposition.

Paul was on Real Time with Bill Maher last night:

He put on an excellent performance. I, as a libertarian, am quite concerned about people thinking, "Oh, so you're like Ron Paul?" Just as the Reason article states, I think of Paul as a pretty bumpkin-ish libertarian. I'm not sure that I want to be associated with him, and especially not with his old racist beliefs.

People seem to believe that libertarians are somehow "weak on racism." I saw this in a Friedman interview on "Uncommon Knowledge." Friedman was incredulous as to why anyone would think this, and swiped the concern aside easily - but still, the fact that the interviewer thought, initially, that it was somehow related does not bode well. And is genuinely confusing!

That still doesn't equate nationalism with racism. What if I'm anti-Norwegian, but pro-Swedish? Anti-Guatemalan, but pro-Honduran? Anti-French, but pro-Belgian?

Let's not confuse politics with racism.

You're supporting my point. I am saying simply that wanting to decrease support for Israel needn't be any more or less racist than wanting to decrease support for any other country.

Wanting to decrease support of the Israeli government in and of itself isn't racist, but when you've become convinced that the Israeli government and the Zionist movement are the most powerful force in Washington politics, that tends to make me think "paranoid conspiracy theory". I dunno, maybe thats just me.
