Israel will keep people in the loop, the article said. So these guns presumably won't be firing without human approval. Thereby, I'd say that Israel isn't really willing to risk killing innocents.

Correct on both counts. However, the IDF does seem to say that operating these gun emplacements "human-free" is the long term goal.

OK - another seemingly unrelated article (or is it? MWAHAHAHA) bringing up Israeli tech in the recent Scientific American.

So if we mix defense article A with Scientific Article C.. we have something very interesting.

It's just another way to store information, isn't it? The problem with those guns isn't that they don't have memory, nor the kind of memory they have.
