Yep. News agencies love this. China does anything on a small-scale level like this, it can have an effect on everybody else. So...they can write a story on it! I love it.

I think that the chinese have stopped drinking milk. I just went to the local shop and noticed that a 4-pint carton of milk had gone down 2p !!!

Do Asians suffer from milk intolerance? I'm a big milk drinker and cheese eater and I feel so sorry for people who can't digest it.

I love Laughing Cow cheese. I first got addicted to it when touring Canada as a teen, when my mom bought a package of the little foil-wrapped cubes. Now I can buy it in California in disks of foil-wrapped wedges.

Same here! I eat lunch a lot with a coworker that is intolerant and I definitely feel sorry for her. Surprisingly, she had never heard of LactAid, so I introduced her to the wonders of Ben & Jerry's! She thinks it's disgusting to drink milk, though, so I always get to see her sour face when I drink a pint of 2% with lunch.

Oh, and I could probably eat several Babybel cheese rounds a day if I could get my wife to keep 'em in the fridge!

The rise in milk prices is hitting me harder than any recent rise in gas prices. My family used to go through four gallons a week, easily. With me working from home, I didn't go through that much gas in the same timespan.

It's now cheaper to put gas on my cereal. I am saddened.

Humans(as far as I know) are the only mammals to continue to drink milk after they reach adult hood. How does that contribute to our health (or lack there of) I wonder.

Positively, its a luxury in nutrition terms. The only thing it doesnt have is vitamin c afaik so if you just drank milk you'd have perfect teeth but they'd all fall out because you'd get scurvy
