Flying a Plane!!!!

As part of my RAF cadet training, we drove all the way to Yeovelton airbase, and could fly a 'tutor' plane for 40 minutes. (with an instructor (but without the qualifications!!

))

That doesn't sound like much, but it really blows you away.

When you see a city from so high up, everything is so tiny, it was raining over Bristol and the Severn Bridge, and I could see both at the same time, the rain looked like a really dark cloud, but it was on the ground.

The instructor did a loop, a barrel roll, and a -G thing where he flew up then nosedived for a few seconds, causing everything to start floating around (including me, my seatbelt wasn't tight enough

)

I hope this doesn't sound boastful, but it was just so cool I had to share it!!!

Oh, man, when I was in high school, my friend's dad took us up in his Cessna and let us fly it. A plane is so much better than any roller coaster!

I can only imagine how much fun it would be in a military trainer!

Fun isn't it?!

I've been flying for years. It's only been until recently we haven't had a hangered plane ready to go. We had an order for a Mustang but cancelled it when there got to be so much competition in the VLJ arena- not sure what we'll go with now.

Haven't been on a military trainer.. but I've been on Fat Albert!

Flying is a Bug for those who experience it and enjoy it, I find once a Pilot............Always a Pilot.

as such I'm working on my pilot's Liscence

, and actually Tomorrow I have a lesson Scheduled in Cessna 3144 Victor http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0886618/L/ of witch has a NAV II Avionics package http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0779325/L/, Although I have 3-4 hours logged in the much nicer G1000 Avionics Package http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1004252/L/. Keep flying

P.S. That -G thing is a Stall =P.

Just in it at an airshow - they used to fill some of the empty seats with press and VIP's for the JATO at airshows. I wasn't a show 'VIP' or anything but was in the right place at the right time and knew the Line Boss.
