Re: pcs_junglerescue (all versions)
Ok couple things.
The spawns originally were setup with buying high up but as may not know, you don't get everything you buy up there because it drops in mid air. We have plenty of buy time, that's a non-issue. Hostages getting stuck on terrain. Absolutely nothing i can do about this, except to tell you to keep track of the hostages. Yeah they aren't dogs on a leash, some work is required on your part. Footboards, waterway, waterfall and bad water look will all be fixed. The underground passage through the water was a beta thing, i wasn't sure if it was going work so i didn't put alot of time into it. It works so expect something better this time around. There is only one spot where a ct takes damage, there used to be 4 or 5. The difficulty with that is lag, if someone is pinging 400 on the server, nothing i can do. When they drop they will be missing information about the map and take damage. Thanks for the input. |

Re: pcs_junglerescue (all versions)
I loved the new version the first time i played it, but the one area i got really frustrated on was trying to move the hostages out from the underground passage either up the fallen pole or up the side walkway. they just wouldnt go up it. i finially got one to jump up on it but then i moved more and it jumped off
. i finially just had to kill it . |

Re: pcs_junglerescue (all versions)
Very Nicely done.... *applaud
I gather this isnt your first map. Im a huge NIPPER map fan and this map reminds me of his layouts. Not that yours resembles one of his... but just how you have 3 specific ways to get to one big open area with lots of trees and objects to mess with! I have only played it solo.. but as for this:Quote:
I think its quite the opposite. Ts seem like sitting ducks, if you had some patient CTs with good aim. Although the Ts have some good spots of their own. Climbing trees is always fun ![]() Cant wait to play it with people!!!! edit* I really like how the obstacles laid out for hostages really make moving and leaving hosties somewhere safe while getting the others a possiblity. I like that. ![]() Great Job Vulcan. |

Re: pcs_junglerescue (all versions)
I think it's one of the best maps I've ever played. One must have keen eye sight and communication is a must. No communication = instant failure on this map. It reminds me of a lot of war movies in the jungles.

Re: pcs_junglerescue (all versions)
Many people have been wanting to play this map, so I thought I'd refresh this thread if people want to talk about it.
Yes we all know about the damage you take from "parachuting" in but that's because of 1) the server tickrate or 2) source engine updates. I'm going to guess it's the tickrate. It's the same reason the doors are funky. EDIT: just confirmed the Tickrate is the cause. |

Re: pcs_junglerescue (all versions)
No. This is the final version, I don't have the original map file anymore.
The tickrate is the cause for a lot of problems on the server that we see so I'll be looking for a solution. |
