We also refer to "long hall" when it's definitely called something different under your radar. Just one of those weird PCS quirks I guess.
Quite the contrary... I am not wrong.. again I say go to office, run outside straight from spawn and hit a radio command... it will say front yard. Just because some people call it something else... doesnt make it right And the long hall thing you speak of.. when you hit the radio it says "side hall"

I've allways called the area by the snowman and ladder "Front Office."

I'm not taking sides here, i'm just sayin'.

Don't make me get 9v and Daorda back here to tell you what we've been calling it since our source server started.

Re: cs_Office_Extreme

Root> When playing WoW I learned that my small guild had some weird and often wrong names for certain locations/strategies/mobs. While we communicated just fine among out own little guild, it became a problem when we merged with another guild to tackle some of the higher level instances.

When playing with 9v and Daorda, i'm sure you guys knew exactly what each other meant, and thus, communication was acheived. Now that the community has expanded, you might want to ask if the names of the locations were based on in-game information, or a group invented naming convention.

I would also like to add a final non-office related tid-bit. I find that on maps with mislabeled bombsites it is far more useful to describe them in terms of what is around them. Spirits has the Crypt site and Altar site. Ignorance has the Church site and Crypt site. This sidesteps the whole "remember, a is b and b is a" problem.

Great point schwa...

"You must spread some reputation around before giving it to What is Schwa? again"

Re: cs_Office_Extreme

Gogeta, I have no idea how to work the reputation system, or what that even means. Should I be spreading reputation to other people before I can get some? Or does that mean you've been shoveling reputation my way, and I just havn't noticed? I feel like such a jerk now =/

See the little notepad below everyones names on their posts.... click on that. Then once youve done that go into your User CP and have a looks see... thats all the Rep youve recieved. Once youve given rep to someone's post, you have to give +rep to other people before you can give it to that same person again. The little green marks by your profile picture(on your public profile) are a display of how much youve recieved, and if you hold the mouse on those it will say somthing like "Gogeta has a spectacular aura about" or this "Root has a reputation beyond repute" now thats impressive.

Re: cs_Office_Extreme

It's up for review as well and you can do a search on it and find a long thread about it.

Re: cs_Office_Extreme

Talking about the reputation system, yes it's been discussed since it was disabled from main forum viewing. There is thread in general i think.

I think you'll find it's not just Gogeta. Do you use your UserCP at all? That lists the last 15 people to give you rep.

Re: cs_Office_Extreme

It is really a ct map, Ts need to play more agressively than extended. If the thing is to stay close to hosties as ts and wondering off is frowned upon than I would say extended keeps everything straight.
