Re: FSX: Fly In.
Sounds like a fun idea. I'd try to participate but I've been unable to get FSX to work on my new monitor. I upgraded from a 1024x768 17" CRT to a 22" 1680x1050 widescreen LCD and the game just locks up after loading.
When were you thinking of doing this? Maybe I'll uninstall-reinstall FSX this weekend to see if that helps with anything. I've been dying to get it working. |

Re: FSX: Fly In.
I've always thought TG would do well to have an FSX or MSCombatSimulator server. As hokey as it sounds, it's a lot of fun getting a few dozen pilots running patterns at a major airport... all with human traffic controllers and ground control.
Good times. |

Re: FSX: Fly In.
Great! I am reinstalling it now as well.
If you need SP1 for FSX. The following link should take you straight to it. http://files.filefront.com/Flight+Si.../fileinfo.html

Re: FSX: Fly In.
hehe, personally I can't do without vatsim
http://vatsim.net :X FSX provides much entertainment Evo , or in my case FS9http://sstsim.com Speedbird Concorde 2 you are cleared to London via the Kenedy One departure Canarsie Climb, maintain 4,500 expect higher 10 minutes after departure departure frequency is on 122.8 Squawk 0645 at this point the Chronometer is turned on, afterburners are switched on and 3-2-1-NOW is pronounced, on now the captain simultaneously throws the throttles forward and presses the Departure Timer for shutdown of the reaheat. the airplane accelerates through V1 to its rotation speed of around 195~ KIAS and swiftly the airplane pitches for Theta-2 more or less a very high angle of attack calculated just to get her off and not let her stall . at 250 KIAS the airplane is pitched up to hold the airspeed meanwhile Banking as the Canarsie Climb conforms with Noise abatement procedures in witch the airplane makes a near 180 degree turn of witch begins at 300 Feet or so. Reheats are also shut off and the throttles pulled back to a pre-calculated N1 to further conform to Noise abatement. i wish i had four hands lol

Re: FSX: Fly In.
Wow, I'm reading about VATSIM and it sounds awesome. I wish I was a better pilot, because I am not confident enough in my navigation skills or ATC procedures to just jump on the network and give it a try.

Re: FSX: Fly In.
Yeah I have previous experience with vatsim..
But I am in the same boat Evo. My elite skills in FSX are just not anywhere near that level. ![]()
