Re: IL2:1946, Calling all pilots....
Jeepo, as Kevlar stated, we are using 4.08m. There is a 'beta' patch out, 4.09, that features user-created maps and whatnot. Since no corresponding server patch was released, 4.08m is still the standard for online playing if you are using dedicated servers.
We are looking at a second day of the week for game nights... any suggestions? I don't know how it would work for the others if we had a slightly more Euro-friendly game time for the second game night.

We play typically by direct IP on Thursday nights starting at 8:30 PM (Eastern). PM me for more details.

Re: IL2:1946, Calling all pilots....
Just checking in to see if anyone is still playing this. I just bought myself this off of Direct2Drive, but the file is corrupt on the server side, so I have to wait for it to be resolved or refunded back to me.
EDIT: Oh, didn't notice the last two pages, ignore the first sentence =P Waiting on word from D2D.

Re: IL2:1946, Calling all pilots....
I hadn't played this in a while since I had to work thursdays, this weekend my cousins came down to stay here for a few days and wanted to play it, we played it for a long time and now I'm hooked again.

Can't wait for TrackIR to come in the mail!

Re: IL2:1946, Calling all pilots....
Does anyone have any advice on playing this multiplayer with Steam? I just got it from Steam and I'm up for some flying next week. I'll get hyperlobby and see if I can get it to work.

Re: IL2:1946, Calling all pilots....
Alrighty, I got it up and running online. I figured out the hard way that Steam doesn't have the latest version, and I had to patch manually. I'm ready to fly now, though.
Edit - Blimey, I'm getting shot out of the sky like no other. If I fly with you guys, you'll have to forgive my noobishness.Last edited by Evo<^|SiNz|^>; 01-02-2009 at 12:58 PM.

Re: IL2:1946, Calling all pilots....
Itching to get on, but I have only now gotten word from Direct2Drive. Apparently I need to forward a port and knock down my virus guard to get a file that large to download right from them. Hopefully I'll have it running by Monday so I can get some practice in.
Bucklin out.

Ranger PM'ed me. Hopefully I will be able to make it tomorrow, I have a tentative meeting after work, but I hope it cancels. If not, I'll try to get out of it early.
