Freespace SCP
If anyone is interested, the source code for Freespace 2 was officially released a while back and utilized by the community. Since then, the community has built upon the original engine to make their own version of the original Freespace 2. They did some massive modding, adding new lighting effects, weapon effects, ship skins/models, etc. The result was the Freespace SCP.
For those interested in checking it out, the main site is: http://scp.indiegames.us/
Here is the link to the latest release on the forums: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/ind...c,44291.0.html
I've had some success with Turey's installer, when I was using windows XP 32-bit. (Although it is giving me issues with Vista 64 bit, but that might be 64 bit issues).
Let me know if you're interested in playing.

Re: Freespace SCP
Wasnt Freespace used for Beyond the Red Line as well?

Re: Freespace SCP
To my knowledge BTRL (beyond the red line) is a modification of the Freespace SCP, and is easily installable from the installer available.

Re: Freespace SCP
Wish I could play it, but it doesn't like vista 64 for some reason. Still, I used to like it when I could play SCP on my laptop. Figured I'd pass the info on.
