Holy Crap, do not uninstall this game!
Just in case you need to uninstall IL2 take a look at this thread. If you don't absolutely HAVE to uninstall it I would advise against it. It took me many hours and probably 6 or 7 tries to get the thing re-installed.
I'm so happy to have it back working again I had to post this warning...if it saves just one life it was worth it!New to TG? Start here!

Yuck--thanks for the warning. Fortunately(?) I had to re-install my entire HD over the holidays, so i was able to wipe everything out and do a clean re-installation. I had a feeling all those patches/versions would start giving people grief down the road.
