Increase FPS
By going into DX setup and disabling 3d sound apparently. Anyone know how to do this before I get home and try? Reported as much as 10fps increase.

No way ... I'll suffer the 10fps costs.

Same here. There's no way I'm turning off DX sound for 10fps. I'd rather fly without a canopy and hear that glorious wind ripping my head off!

I can't get sound at all while in-game.. Everything just goes quiet..

Sarc, you mentioned in the recen LoMan thread that that french site had FPS tweaks, but I didn't see them (been awhile since French class in high school).
Can you give us some insight?
There was a thread at Lo-Mac.com about this http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=400102&f=99610606&m=624102681

LoMan has a graphics panel that is a little more informative than in-game options. You can set values in between the settings offered in LOMAC. It's just a bit more fine tuning you can easily do instead of fiddling with config files. It also comes with a low explosion addon. Activate it and you're supposed to get better fps during explosions, flares, and other smoke related effects. There are other addons that help with fps too but they seem to have taken it out with LoMan 2.0.
