If you go to Open mission instead of Show Replays, you can change to external views and look around the cockpit. Change the file type to Tracks in the Open panel to access recorded tracks. Once open, go to the Flight menu at the top then select Play Track.

I've read about people landing the A-10 and the F-15 on the carrier but I've never tried it myself.
Jex it's unfair be realistic that the F-15 has a huge disadvantage when it comes to close in against the helmet mounted sight. Only within the past few months has the US begun to field their version of it the AIM-9X. Avoid in close at all costs vs a Mig or a Flanker.

It really is an odd interface. I didn't even realize that the external views couldn't be accessed when the track is opened from the main menu. The interface designer really needs a kick in the head.

Good stuff.
On a side note, any one ever considering getting the TrackIRs? I'm about a click away from buying a set.

The AIM-9X has been used for years... lol. While I'm not the most knowledgable person on other airframes, I have a very good understanding of the current weapon systems and avionics packages the USAF is using. The AIM-9X doesn't really need helmet targeting because the seeker head is capable of looking 60 degrees to the left or the right. Basically it just has to be in range and you have to pick a target for it. Kind of like the AGM-65's and AGM-88's. The helmet system just makes that easier. This flight-sim is set 10 years ago which is a total crock in terms of the name of the program. Nothing about this is Modern but it is Air Combat.
On the trackIR subject, which set Riyker? The ones with the 3D Glasses or just IR by itself?

Those TrackIR or even the 3D glasses look really cool. Of course, I'd have to try it before even considering purchasing a pair. However, Shadow has this surprise that he'll never tell us that seems to put these two devices to shame. :P

I bet Shadow has come across the funds to support one of Riyker's wild ideas so it doesn't get invented by someone else first. It's kind of like that story with Riyker dreaming of 5.1 headphones only to find Zalman already invented them.

Actually the AIM-9X has just reached operational readiness with the 12th "Dirty Dozen" and the 19th "Gamecocks" fighter squadrons from the 3rd wing at Elmendorf AFB Alaska, according to the Jan 2004 edition of Air Combat magazine.
Here's another article on the same topic.
