Multi-service Brevity Codes
below is a link that will tell you that Fox 1 is not the correct terminology for firing a maverick. IIt's 'Rifle (or Long Rifle) away'. There's a whole list here of terms for your (lengthy) perusal.

Here are some other translations from just the Navy side, although I'm sure most are used cross-service. This one is mostly just for fun, but there are some good useful TG terms to use as well.

fox 1 is the use of the aim 9's i believ, fox 2 is the use of the aim 20's and fox 3 the aim 7's.. i believe thats how i interpreted them.

Fox one would be launching the AIM-7, Fox 2 would be launching an AIM-9 variant, and Fox-3 would be launching the AIM-120.

I found CAP in the list but what does CAS mean? Is it Combat Air/Surface?

CAS = Close Air Support.
