    Spore - Ultimate Sim?

    http://pc.ign.com/objects/735/735340.html

    Go. Read. Gaze. Wonder. Drool.

Toss Sim City out the window. Explode your "Tycoon" games. Burn Black & White. Play Frisbee with Populus. Make E.V.O. an extra velocity object as it flies to the nearest lake.

I then figured the discussion would lead into how developers could get away with not working by letting the users and their undying need to expand every experience creatively do the legwork themselves. Instead, I got Spore. And let me tell you... LOOK THE F*** OUT! Not ironically, Spore has the potential to epitomize both design philosophies I expected the session to focus on.

In a nutshell: Control the life of a species from a wad of cells to a galactic empire.
Only one more year. Q4 2006. To Will Wright, you're my sim hero.

I saw a video for it like... a YEAR ago or something. Simply amazing.

I'll be picking it up for 100% sure, no matter what.

    Oh man.

    OH ****ING MAN.

I'm setting aside money for that now or something. It looks... I really don't have words. I just wish there was more to read about it right now.

Do what I'm doing with the COD2 demo.

Read it again and again like 3 times a day.

Theres an hour long demo with Will Write explaining and stuff @ GDC.

    Find it here:

    http://www.pqhp.com/cmp/gdctv/

Give it a bogus registration name and stuff, that way you don't get spammed from GDC.

Yea it's definately something to get.

And, while Bugmenot is great, it could have been faster to just make up your own, as long as all the fields had something, and your email address had an @, a ., and an extension it should have worked.

    I wish I could pre-order it already.

It is so nice to see someone in the gaming industry taking a chance, I will definitly reward them by purchasing this game. It looks great!

Anyone else tired of FPS, RTS, etc. I remember years ago when every game was something new instead of a clone of previous games with a few added features and better graphics.
This looks to be a gem.
