hour and 20mins until the demo is available, just don't grab it from gamespot you'll get capped at like 40k/bs unless your as full member.

Well I was a member, I paid 3$ during e3 month, but it wasn't the 6$ full subscriber. 3$ membership only gets full stream videos and HD downloads, but at the slow capped speeds, gotta spend 6$ to get full speeds. Even still, gamespot has terrible speeds even for free users 40-50kb/s blows.

I agree with you there.., I was hoping they'd ramp it up for this.. it's gotta be one of the worst.. but what to they care? They are the only outlet right?

Just another reason for me to disco- my subscriptions..

HOWEVER.. by comparison.. when we have a TG hosted file.. I get REALLY GOOD speeds.

Whelp - anyway.. I get to play with it after work tomorrow!

Yeah, most sites offer my max speed, since I'm on slower dsl, 1.2mb so my speed maxes at 162kb/s anyway. I miss my old 3mb connection and getting 360kb/s. Anyway are you downloading it? I think the main reason I want to try it is because I bought my joystick to fly jets in bf2, and it made me also want to try out a flight sim. So I'm new to the flight sim stuff.

OH YES.. I am downloading it.

FS is credited with my entire flight career and everything I do now (flight related) - I prefly routes in real-time using FS if it is a new route to me. I have ZERO incidents so far.. not because FS is RIGHT.. but it is a cheap way to help me previsualize everything.

I've been using FS since FS #1 and even before that with a number of landing simulators.. I'd stay up.. but I'm getting old and I've got a big day tomorrow. AND nobody at work will care about FSX if I can't get anything else done..

So I'll play with it tomorrow.

Thanks for the link, Gamespot is so slow if you're not a full member. I'm using the microsoft link and I'm getting my max speed of 300KB/s.

Alright I tried it. Graphics are......ok, but it doesn't seem to run that well, and having the graphics on medium-high, they look kinda blah still, so I'm wondering why there is performance issues.

I was flying that big ass plane, and I kept hearing a beeping noise, and some guy saying "don't sink, don't sink, don't sink". I was like 30 feet above the water come on!

ROFL! Like you were in a boat, right! Yeah, sink warnings can be irritating - it's just a reminder, I think it can be shut off.. when things go 'bad' you get "Sink Rate.. Sink Rate... Sink Rate" in most large aircraft.. well depending on the make.
