Played through the demo about 3 times now, this game is a blast (space shooter, interesting story, open gameplay, etc...).

You fly a ship called "Darkstar One" and you buy better (and lots of different) upgrades to the ship through the course of the game to reflect what kind of ship you want it to be. Merchant\pirate\bounty hunter\Smuggler\Killer and more classes you can lean to earn money for better weps\upgrades. Something like 300+ systems you can explore.

It's labled as a "Space-Action Adventure with RPG Elements".
