    Re: Sid Meier's Railroads!

I've had some fun with the game, but it is definately not complex enough to be interesting for more than a week. There are many threads that demonstrate flaws in the route AI that lead to catastrophic lockdowns dismantling hours of work in just a few minutes. The crossovers must be manually placed, while the signals are automatic. It should have been the other way around with a set crossover piece and manual signals. You just don't have enough control to ensure a smoothly operating line in this game.

Hopefully a patch will fix, but I see no information that one is forthcoming as they are still addressing CTD bugs.

Demo comes out at the end of the month. You can always try before you buy. I've haven't heard any good reviews about the game yet and I was so looking forward to it. Guess I'll have to reinstall Railroad Tycoon 3.

RT3 is the best game for railroaders still. This game is too childish for me even, and Im 18 with a child like personality.

Played the demo, what a blast! Thinking about picking this game up tomorrow, it seems like it has a great replayability factor.

Anyone playing this online? I love it, simple and complex at the same time. Xfire me if you play much: fldash
