Haven't had time to look into modding SINS yet. I'm going to try over the summer after I learn to use Maya.

It's shouldn't be that hard. It's should be about as easy as modding ST:Armada.

Of course, thats only for unit properties and such. I wanted to create some Star Trek models, import it into SINS, and write some new property files for those ships and then hand it off to the ST mod team so that mod gets going instead of sitting around in a planning and half-development stage for the next 4 years.

Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.
