Let us not forget that in the SW universe there exists a blaster type that can't be blocked by a LS. (Jedi outcast games)

Also maybe a diplomatic charater of some sort and an eletronics expert are the only other types of class I could think of. I was thinking about the types of charaters you could be in Mass Effect and what was popular there so maybe a sniper?
There wont be any neutral classes, they have stated they want to emphasize the "war" in star wars. While that wont mean forced pvp, they want to emphasize the cross faction battles.

you never know what they will do so don't assume.

Electronics were a big part of the kotor games. Things like slicing and hacking computer terminals.

I don't know if that was directed at me or not, but BW has clearly said there will be no neutral classes, everyone must pick a side in the fight, but you have the option of playing a sith that leans to the light side, or a jedi that leans to the dark side. I'll dig up the quote from the interview if you want for confirmation.

    That'll be... Interesting?

I mean... You can't really be evil in an MMO. And you can't really be good. And who wants to play a mook in a galaxy full of Jedi?

If you want claim anything as official you better post up proof otherwise it's just hearsay.

    3) You don’t pick good or evil right off the bat

I was so happy to hear this – they were having a hard time explaining it. But somewhere between Erickson and Designers Jake Neri, Gordon Walton, Rich Vogel and James Ohlen’s Q&A, it was made clear that you choose a faction from the get-go (Sith or Republic). Your good or evil status evolves through the choices you make, which is true to the KOTOR standard.

You seem to have a real problem, I suggest you take it elsewhere. Nobody is getting aggressive with you.

You basically called me a liar, I responded. If you dont like it, I might suggest not calling people liars as a solid general course for you especially when you don't know if they are right or wrong. Nothing stops you from checking news sources to substantiate reports. Instead of checking yourself, you chose to call me wrong.

far from it, don't blow things out of proportion please. If you want to post facts then post them but otherwise we're just posting opinions and comments.

That's enough of that in this thread so take the advice and let's move on.

What I'm interested in is how they would balance Force users and non-Force users while keeping in line with the lore (i.e. how can a guy with a blaster beat a Jedi without making the Jedi seem underpowered?); after all Force users are -meant- to be quite powerful.

I hope they do this with balancing... ie you can't be a strong offensive jedi and also a strong defensive jedi. This means if you want to be able to deflect blaster fire, you have to spend points going up that tree instead of up say sabre slash attacks. In a group this could mean you want a mix of defensive jedi to provide cover from blasters while you need some offensive jedi to execute the attacks.

I happen to love the Jedi and dislike the Sith / Dark Jedi.

This brings up the question of Gray Jedi...who would be for them?

I just hope they have a more "realistic" (or at least canon accurate) saber fighting system that is a large improvement to the one in Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. As long as it isn't the KotoR system, I'll be fairly happy.

At this point it's all still speculation, but my GUESS is that it will be like the WoW combat system (i.e. right click to toggle auto-attack, and instant abilities that you can mix in).
