Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack

Ugh...I have no idea what you guys are doing to be making so much money everyday. -_-

The USA is going through a labor bubble as people raise wages in order to help their employees afford food. The price of Q5 food has actually sky rocketed to about 9-10 USD a unit because of this.

A level 5 worker would produce 16.8 units of Q3 iron if they worked at 90 wellness. This amount to about 8 dollars in sales at 0.50 price per unit. Except the wage for level 5 works starts at 10 USD a day. -_-

While it used to be profitable to run a resource company, with the job bubble inflating wages so high my good workers all left for better jobs with higher pay and my bad workers all ignored the need for higher food and started dropping in wellness. I finally said 'screw this I'm not even breaking even' and fired everyone because I was bleeding money.
My sanity is not in question...

Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack

You'll notice that alot of the top offers are for high quality companies. Try using lower skilled workers? I've got 2 workers with their skill in the 3's and their wellness in the high 40's and I'm making around $1+ a day off each.
Sure if their wellness was higher they'd produce about 2-3 more units each but I'm paying them for what their worth as is not what they could be. Also if they had better wellness i'd have to worry about them jumping ship
to a higher paying job and at their level they can't afford to work for a Q4 or Q5 company because it would kill them even if the owner would keep them.

On a side note is it just me or are there alot of low wellness workers running around in the past couple weeks?

Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack

    Fear the use of spreadsheets!

This is the current wage/productivity profit margin for resources (iron) in the US right now:

    Skill 0: 0.336 iron produced - $0.17 sales - $1.10 minimum wage = $0.97 loss (50 wellness $0.12 sales, $1.15 loss)
    Skill 1: 3.36 iron produced - $1.71 sales - $1.80 minimum wage = $0.09 loss (50 wellness $1.22 sales, $0.58 loss)
    Skill 2: 6.72 iron produced - $3.43 sales - $3.50 minimum wage = $0.07 loss (50 wellness $2.45 sales, $1.05 loss)
    Skill 3: 10.08 iron produced - $5.14 sales - $5.45 minimum wage = $0.31 loss (50 wellness $3.67 sales, $1.78 loss)
(NOTE: Skill level 0-3 employees ALWAYS have less than 40 wellness especially with the hospital change so profitability is much MUCH lower)
    Skill 4: 13.44 iron produced - $6.85 sales - $8.28 minimum wage = $1.43 loss
    Skill 5: 16.8 iron produced - $8.57 sales - $11.37 minimum wage = $2.80 loss
    Skill 6: 20.16 iron produced - $10.28 sales - $15.50 minimum wage = $5.22 loss
    Skill 7+: 23.52 iron produced - $12.00 sales - $20.36 minimum wage = $8.36 loss

For the most part Skill level 4 was the 'magic number' since it takes a good 37 days to go from 0-4. That means people who are at that level hover between 70-100 wellness depending on how knowledgeable they are in the game.
At around skill 5 they would've picked up 3 hard worker awards and 1 super soldier award for 20 gold and probably received 1 or 2 awards for leveling past 15 for a grand total of 30 gold...enough to buy a Q5 house. That means on average I would see people with wellness of 80-100 at skill level 5 (true keepers).
If someone remained ignorant in the past on how (and why) to work the wellness system they'd generally die around skill level 4 which would weed out people who just let their wellness drop to unmanageable amounts.

Hell, a level 0 employee automatically starts out at 50 wellness unless they're trying to multiskill.

Of course I also know where part of the problem is. With a Q3 iron company you would require Q5 food to maintain a wellness of 74 if you do not own a house. You would need a Q2 home and Q5 food to maintain a wellness of 97. Lastly a Q5 home and Q2 food would result in the same. In general Skill 5 and above employees are likely to have gathered the resources to get a Q5 home.

Since skill 4 would get a few awards enough to buy a Q2 home with gold, they would still need to spend $10 on food per day from a $5.35 wage after taxes.

For skill 3 or lower? Q3 food cost $2.88 out of their $4.26 wages after taxes to maintain a wellness level of 21. -_-

The influx of low wellness workers comes from the 'fix' to the hospital system. Previously you could work a more demanding job and use the wellness gained from hospital usage to supplement your recovery. Now, its based solely off food and taking days off from working to recover properly.

If you fight 4 times and use a Q5 hospital you used to get 50 wellness back for a net gain of 10 wellness. That means working a Q5 job you could do that every other day to get the equivalent of 1 wellness box every other day. Now fighting 4 times returns 40 wellness and not an iota more meaning recovery is much much slower unless they spend the gold to fix it.

I might just go back to my original plan of shutting everything down into hibernation and reopening when the new economy module goes live. With such inflated wages with depressed wellness, being able to pay by productivity and the ability to recover by allotting time to rest will fix many of these problems.

Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack

Yep the new hospital rule sucks.
Anyhow the reason I opened a company in Portugal is because the wages are dirt cheap. I pay a level 5 about .14 gold, and he makes me over .23 gold, minus and I make more than .09 a day, pretty sweet if I have 10 employees eh?
Of course, with the new hospital rule I seem to be getting everyone with 30 and below wellness.
Oh I forgot, what is everyone here going to be when V2 comes out? Tank driver, infantry, heli pilot, or artillery soldier?
Hey everyone I'm trying to learn Greek, if anyone has any pointers please PM me!

Version 2 is finally here! Now the fun begins with the economic collapse until we figure things out.

    Hi ya
I just stumbled across this and went to the website but it says it is a beta and that beta progress will not be saved.
Is this the same game or do I need to look further to find the one you guys are playing ?

Yes that's the same game. The actual game is down while they upgrade from version 1 to version 2. You can play around in the beta of version 2 while you wait to get an idea what the game is about but any progress will be wiped once version 2 goes live which should be a few more hours hopefully.

Yes. We (the eUSA are loaning a couple of states out to ePoland and eIreland to give them access the resources. Since the war v2 module went live about a week ago we have been being invaded by eRussia who took Alaska, Washington and California. We have taken Alaska and Washington back and ePoland has formed a wall with the states to the east and south of California to prevent eRussia from going east. Currently we are attacking Far East Russia and ePoland has attacked California while eRussia continues attacks on Hawai.
