Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack
No clue.
Hmm, I seem to have two problems:
1) I have a Q2 house and Q1 food. I also have Q1 job and training. Now I should be getting +3 health each day, but I'm only getting +2. Why?
Edit: Figured out #1. There's the equation I forgot about.
2) I have a 13.xx USD job. I spent 10 USD yesterday, but when I just worked now, my cash only went up by 10 USD. What happened to my other 3.xx USD?Last edited by Acreo Aeneas; 09-26-2009 at 04:41 PM.

Can't be taxes. The only taxes in the game applies to products bought/sold.

Here is a good article for newer people. If you haven't subscribed to his paper yet Aeros does a pretty good daily summary of the action of the day.

Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack
Okay, just what IS the congressional budge office and why is so much cash going into it?!?
Doesn't seem to do much at all since we just bought the Q5 hospital for California with a government subsidized company at the expensive cost of 1USD. Congress just traded in 500gold for 100,000USD and then plowed the 100,000USD back into the congressional budge office. My sanity is not in question...

Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack
I believe it holds the cash for government expenditures. It's where the funds start when paying government employees, buying guns and moving tickets for the military and such.
Wow, Tarenth wages are dropping quite a bit. Some costs have dropped also. Weapons have glutted the market. If you plan on buying any Q1s you might want to buy them now. Based on iron prices weapons are way under priced right now.
Unfortuneately I work for a weapons company and looks like he is trying to get rid of his his priced workers. Unless he moves more money to pay me I'll be going from $12 to $9.60 job.
Maybe you shouldn't have come back from Greece Kulmar?Ikariam Wars = Talus - Sulfur, Talanium - Marble, Talopolis - Wine, Talusgrad - Crystal, Talusberg - Wine.

Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack
Ouch, everything seems to be in free fall now with the market so glutted with weapons. It probably has something to do with the lack of US military involvement over the past 24 hours.
Not too interested in investing in weapons. Now if there was a flea market where I could resell things at a markup later I'd be more interested, but I do 8 damage now and a Q1 would just bump that to 18 (+100% for removal of unarmed penalty, +20% for Q1 weapon). Gonna flip my daily activity to what people usual do and hover in the 90's so I can keep my job. Wasn't too worried when the job market was at 5.93USD for a level 2 manufacturing worker, but its a bit of a concern when its 4.5USD for the same jobs. O.o
Funny how short term trends have enormous impact on the markets really. Yesterday the DoD ordered everyone to fly to North Korea, fight, then fly back because we have no battles on the domestic front (lost initiative against Hungary with the failure in both the resistance war and invasion). As a result the price of moving tickets have jumped from 10 USD Q1 to 13.5USD Q1 and weapons have dropped from 6 USD Q1 to 5 USD Q1. The high weapons has jumped from 35USD to 40USD though showing that the mobile military drives the price of Q5 gear and air tickets, but the home front suffers when people have to travel. With the eNorway v eRussia engagement tripping our MPP and letting us fight without travel the price of Q1 weapons should go up once the surplus is expended.
Construction jobs in the housing markets seem to keep going up. Especially since eUS needs to rebuild the infrastructure with Q5 hospitals and Q5 defense systems. People are also investing in Q5 housing which is probably why the price of Q1 houses is down to 215 USD and jobs in the Q5 housing market have risen from 35 USD to 41 USD now.
I wonder if there's a newspaper reporting these market trends. If not, I just might make one for the hell of it. ^_^Last edited by Tarenth; 09-28-2009 at 10:25 AM.

Yuck! Everything is in gold which gets somewhat confusing when you look at something valued at 0.0132 gold per unit. -_-
Prices have really jumped all over the place and looking at the 10 day view I can say with quite a bit of confidence that I haven't the foggiest idea what's going on with the economy in the long term.My sanity is not in question...

Re: eRepublik - America Under Attack
From last night when I checked ...
We seem to have been flooded with goods and the US is changing it's cash to gold ratio.
Greece is still looking pretty good to work. Lower inflation and still high wages. I'm thinking of moving there until the US settles down a bit.
Kulmar when you were in Greece were you still able to fight in the US battles? Or only the ones with the Greek mpps activated?Ikariam Wars = Talus - Sulfur, Talanium - Marble, Talopolis - Wine, Talusgrad - Crystal, Talusberg - Wine.

Acreo - Figure out your salary issue yet?
Alexxxi - Find a good job? If you can keep from spending too much of it take your salary every couple days and cash it in for gold.
Don't forget to fight in Norway!
Speaking of fighting here is a tip for those of us in the eUSA and using firefox. Get the DoD script for greasemonkey so you always know where to fight.Ikariam Wars = Talus - Sulfur, Talanium - Marble, Talopolis - Wine, Talusgrad - Crystal, Talusberg - Wine.
