As far as invading japan again I think we are waiting for the japanese ultimatum to phoenix to expire to see what happens.

And I think we lost because people had mixed feelings on the fight.

The new training mod seems a bit silly for the reasons they gave. It's designed to give newer players a chance to increase their strength faster to catch up with the older players but it costs gold to use which alot of newer players aren't going to have available. It seems that it's just going to tick off the older players. After all there has got to be some advantage to playing longer.

I think tanks will now pull ahead of everyone, as the governments will pay them 2 gold a day or whatever for the 200% training, so if anything new players and moderate players like me will never catch up.

I don't think it's really worth it. The highest one i've seen is 200% bonus for 1.8 gold so instead of me gaining .06 points of strength when training I gain .12.

Maybe if you have a thriving business you can afford 1.8 gold a day to boost your strength but most players aren't going to have that kind of money laying around.

I think the real reason the devs are doing this is not to help players get better strength it is being used as another gold sink to help remove excess gold from the game.

I'm seeing 1 gold for 100% extra training benefit. That means for 1 gold a day I can train for 0.08 strength.

Far from equalizing the game, I think most first world government will just shell out the money they currently give tanks during fights for wellness boxes and have them use super training instead.

For the cost of one full tank run you could probably keep 3 people using super training for a month.

Tank run = 5 attack, hospital, 5 attack, 40 wellness attack. 40 wellness attacks at 2 g each and 50 Q5 weapons runs about 130g give or take market fluctuation.

Okay, I'm wrong. By pulling 1 tank off the line you can keep FOUR government sponsored military personnel super trained for a month.

What happened in Greece? The wall was at -800000!! I went to bed and now it's 300000! Seriously are we waiting until the last moment?

Another thought, I've been saving up to buy a business, does anyone else own one? if so, what are your thoughts and advice on it?

Humm, I've been playing around with the idea of making my own company as well. So here are some thoughts on the matter.

1) Start an Organization (5g) to run the company and as a shell for your holdings. If you start it on your character you'll end up the general manager and lose 1 wellness per day as well as being restricted from working in your own company.

2) Amass capital to run your company. A LOT of capital. It takes gold to form the company, gold to buy licenses to sell your goods on the market, and gold to upgrade your company to higher quality levels. It also takes cash to pay your employees so...again...it takes gold to have employees. If you have a Manufacturing company instead of a resource company then it takes gold to purchase goods from a supplier as well!

My thoughts on it are to purchase a company in the resource market and then work for little/no pay to increase my skill in that field and generate goods. Sell those goods and then use the income to hire employees. Once the income becomes sustainable upgrade quality to increase efficiency. Its generally accepted that a Q3 resource company is the right benchmark for efficiency when it comes to small business. To upgrade to Q4 costs about as much as starting up a new Q2 company and to upgrade to Q5 costs as much as upgrading the 2nd and a third to Q3.

Once resources are stable start a related manufacturing company and shunt supplies to it from the first company for a higher sales margin. Rinse and repeat to diversify into other fields.

Currently the US has territories that have high wheat, oil, and wood so those are the resources to aim for. Gunning for iron or diamonds means outsourcing since we only have medium concentrations. Diamonds can be had in Canada which is relatively stable, but high Iron is what we're aiming for in Asia and may be very volatile to venture into. It should be obvious, but build resource companies on high resource territories for best results.

Of course, this might all change once the new economy module goes live.

In other news, seems like we did a land swap with Japan and are attacking Asia now. Yay?

From the DoD orders it'll only be a launching pad. Depending on how the fight in eIndonesia goes we'll probably give Kyushu back to eJapan after we have a secure position in Asia. Doing so will shut the door behind us so if we get pushed out of Asia they can't counterattack via the same route (the major powers have MPPs with eJapan after all).

The way things are going I'm almost tempted to throw down some cash and buy the gold to start a company, though there are only 2 real options when it comes to the purchase price.

3 Euros -> 3 Gold (1:1)
10 Euros -> 20 Gold (1:2)
25 Euros -> 40 Gold (5:8) <--- stupidly low
60 Euros -> 140 Gold (3:7)

I also started at the tail end of the GNAW* (I like that name). While the rest of eUSA was kicking the occupation forces out I think I hit level 5 just in time to throw a slipper as they lost their hold on the last few states.

Also started up an organization for a shell holding and will probably start a company eventually. Just gotta figure out where I want to put it and how I'm going to run it though.

So I picked up a company for 15 gold. What's funny is there were 5 gold and 25 USD in the company finances so I pretty much picked it up for 9.5 gold. Decided on a weapon company just for the hell of it.

Learned something the hard way though. Funds need to be in the company finances to purchase raw materials and pay wages, but funds collected from company coffers are taxed. Picked the finances clean and got taxed before having to re-invest the funds to buy materials and hire employees.

Then I tried to sell 5 gold on the money market to generate capital and put the exchange rate at 1 USD = 0.025 gold. The exchange sold it at 1 gold = 0.025 USD and I got all of 13 cents out of the deal. All in all, bad juju.

20 gold to create a new company or how ever much you pay for an existing company.

If a manufacturing company you need to purchase enough raw materials for atleast a day of production but you probably want a couple days worth to a week.

---- The higher the skill of the worker the more material they will use each day.

Then you need enough to pay your workers for atleast a day preferably a couple days worth of work.

---- The higher the skill the more you have to pay them each day.
