    The new module looks a bit weird for manufacturing now, you have to make different components for 1 item.

    You know what rocks though, is getting people who are high wellness and are in the higher skill level range. I make like 2 CAD a day off those guys. Plus, I never give them raises unless they ask, so I have a guy who I hired at skill 3 for 7 CAD (back a while) and now he is rocking skill 4 at that. Also, with the slump that the economy is in the job salaries are really low. I am making just enough cash to stay afloat, yet store alot of it so that if it ever spikes, then I'll be there to profit.

    Yikes, it sounds like you're barely making a profit.

    Anybody else notice their not getting as much health regained overnight as you were before?

    I was making a profit of ~2 bucks per person a day, so that was pretty good. Now that the diamond industry is going to get wiped, I shut down and am selling what I can. I don't think i should sell it all, since they are probably in someway going to reimburse

    Weapons are just unprofitable I suppose. -_-

    A level 3 employee makes about 4 USD a day. If they are 90 wellness or higher they make about 1.5 guns every day. If, like I'm getting frequently, they're CRAP they make around 1 gun a day. A 2* gun now sells for 5.30 USD after taxes.

    In theory the level 3 employee should make enough product to generate 7.8USD with a labor cost of 4 for an income of 3.8 USD. Of course, if they're low wellness they only make 1 product at the most for 5.3 and an margin of 1.3 USD.

    Of course, there's also the cost of iron to consider. Right now its sitting at 0.23 per unit and it seems to take about 10 units per product for a material cost of 2.30USD.

    Humm...an employee makes 1 product for 2.3 USD in materials and 4.0 USD in labor and it sells for 5.3 USD. Alternatively they could make 1.5 products for an expected sale revenue of 7.8 USD, labor cost of 4.0, and material cost of 3.45 USD. Wow...revenue of 7.80 and cost of 7.45 USD that's a great margin!

    I wouldn't be too worried about your diamond company. Seems like grain and oil are going to stay the same (though the change to the ticket market is interesting), but iron will probably translate to titanium now and wood/diamonds may be turned to stone. Since hospitals, defense systems, and housing now have a 'durability' and have to be renewed (boo! my Q5 house is going to collapse) the construction and stone market will see a significant up rise in business. Construction always seemed to be the hardest to get into, but the biggest payoff with your investment in the end. Of course, that flipped around quite a lot with how resources and land skill has been done. Seems like land jobs are currently the best paying and wages/products in the manufacturing sector aren't keeping pace.

    Tempted to shut everything down and go into hibernation until the new module comes out so I can see how to react from there. Prices for weapons keep falling without a set 'enemy' to go to war with. Nice spikes to 'barely profitable' during the Hungarian and British conflicts. Not so much now that we gave up on England and are twiddling our fingers. -_- Down to $4.90 per unit in revenue with $2.30 in materials.

    Yeah there's no real wars going on now.
    Except for Greece vs. Turkey, but Turkey's 11 or so allies bring the wall up to 2 million every time, I wonder when Greece is going to run out of gold to attack.

    Ouch, that sucks.

    Q3 grain here in Portugal has gone from $1.16 to $.87 in less than two weeks. Hopefully that mod comes out soon...

    Yeah and the new erepublik insider says they are going to fix the hospital glitch (so it only heals what you did in battle, not for 50 wellness when you only fought once) so now the food and gifts industries are going to get a good boost.

    ...uh...gift industries are dead simply because they're not going to be part of the new module. Hospital recovery is going to be replaced by highly modded food and extra 'sleep' from your citizen. Honestly, I can't see houses making up the difference because to mod a house to be high in recovery means you're going to tank its durability and happiness ratings. Unless you're going to get a health modded house and happiness modded food.

    I'm thinking the modding of houses and foods is where the Quality of the company is going to matter. Maybe the quality of the company determines the mod points that you can put into your product. So a Q1 company can only make low level products but a Q5 company can max out the properties of the product although at a cost.

    From what they mentioned about customization points, it seems like you're partially correct.

    Every company will have X number of points and get N for every 'quality' increase. If they're going to leave it capped at 5 upgrades or let it continue on to infinity is up to the developers. This will make branding a bit more important than price in the current market and drive up erepiblik sales of ad and company improvements. Its really a smooth move to generate more hard income by the developers. Though I digress...

    Each product will have defining characteristics to it and customization points can be spent to modify these values.

    Example: T1 food currently gives 1 wellness at 50 health while T5 food currently gives 5. If we were to convert that to the new module then T1 food gives 1 wellness and 1 happiness while T5 food gives 5 wellness and 5 happiness. This is the base default 'stock' level. So for the first we could mod it to 2 wellness and 0 happiness, 1.5 wellness and 0.5 happiness etc for the first. For the later we could mod it to 10 happiness and 0 wellness or vice versa. That's just an assumption of 2 CP per quality level though and it'll probably be more complex than that.

    They mention this 'trade off' when they talked about traveling tickets. You can either max out the comfort factor of your airline and grant a wellness/happiness bonus, but have a limited travel distance, or you could provide intercontinental service that is akin to stuffing yourself into a box smaller than a coach seat.

    All in all I think land workers and companies have the better end of the bargain since so little will change for them. They produce raw materials, they sell raw materials, they repeat those two steps. No need to worry about the specific chemical composition of the ore they produce if it is more suited to tanks, helicopters, guns, or artillery or silly things like that.
