Epic failure on their part. Hilarious to watch their tanks trying to take the territory knowing full well they don't even have the time to take the first stage.

Conquered in 20 minutes. Wow. Joined a couple of days ago and I'm sitting in California twiddling my fingers as a newbie. -_-

Now if I can just get a moving ticket to Florida I might have a fighting chance.

Anyone got any good tips to share?

Welcome to eRepublik! If you haven't done it yet read thru this thread. Lots of good info in it. Send me a friend request in game and I'll get you a moving ticket and food if you need it.

As far as tips - Work and train everyday to level up. When you get to level 6 you get 5 gold. After 30 days straight working you get 5 gold then around day 40 or so you will get another 5 gold for strength going up 5 points.

Make sure your working at a Q1 job not Q2 or more since you lose 1 wellness for each Q of a job each time you work.

At level 6 use your 5 gold to get a Q1 (quality 1) house. In the forum link there is a flea market. You can get a Q1 house for around 3.3 gold.

Once you get to level 5 or 6 you can fight. Don't buy any weapons. Don't fight until your in Florida with its Q5 hospital to heal up. Q5 hospital will give you 50 wellness so your first fight only fight once this will take you down to 30+ wellness then heal in hosp to get up to 80+ wellness then go from there.

If your a reader like I am spend some time reading the forums especially make sure to look thru the welcoming committee there are several programs in there you can sign up for to help you out.

Warning/FYI the ingame forums tend to be a bit rough/standard internet forums while the eUSA forum I've found much more respectful/helpful and more what we are use to at TG.

No that was a full 24 hour battle the recording is only of the last 20 minutes. The battle had been going up and down but no one could get the edge until the Allies tanks showed up at the end to win it.

So I'm sitting in CA waiting for a moving ticket from the Unicorn corps, but apparently they stopped all operations with the threat of invasion into Florida. There's also a 'welfare' system set up where you work 30 days for the system below the market wage (something like 1 USD for skill 0, 2 USD for skill 1, 4 USD for skill 2, etc) but they'll also give you 1 Q1 food per day and 1 Q1 gift per day and after 30 days you get a free Q1 house (Habitats for Humanity). Signed up for that program, but I'm guessing the wait is pretty long.

Seems the eUS forums suggests new people not train for the army at all since the added wellness hit makes life unsustainable on Q1 food without a house. Just hoping I can squeeze my self into level 5 to do the fight/heal and jump my wellness up before I drop below 40.

Amendment: Whee! Thanks for the ticket Scattershot. Now I'm sun bathing in Florida waiting for the XP to join a fight and use the hospital.

Work and train everyday. You should squeak by with your wellness. Once your able to fight we can either give you some better food or gift you to get you to 40+ wellness so you can fight and heal.

Actually PMed my general manager at the place I have a job at and pointed out that with a pay raise I'd be able to afford better food, which would increase my wellness, and thereby increase productivity.

2.50 USD for 1.25 skill level isn't too bad I'd say, wonder if I can keep asking for raises as I skill up and just stick with this job.

I got 20 gold now, and soon to be 25 when I hit level 17 (50 more xp to go.. 5 days). Hopefully they release the economy mod soon!
