Also, unfortunately reading the manual does nothing for helping your gameplay in SupCom. You actually have to go out and research the commands online to get the full benifit of supcom' abilities.
Now onto CC3.. Dude the one thing I love is the fracking multiplayer.. thingamajig that lets another person host the game and give commentary on the ongoing game. Tis awesome..haven't played the demo. Sorry. (Not!)
But looking forward to it.

Re: C&C3 demo out now...
This game really isn't all it's cracked up to be.
1) You are zoomed in too much, with 10,000 popups during the missions to brief you on X and Y you really can't do ANYTHING because you can't click on the map (they take up half the screen, add that to the huge UI and you really can't see much), and you lose units because you can't get them out of harms way.
2) The missions are annoying, you hear every 20 seconds "you must complete blah blah" and you start thinking to yourself you want to choke that god damn woman (GDI campaign).
3) Unit stupidity. Several times I've given a unit orders, and they've just sat there, finally doing what I told them to do 10 hours later. They engage the enemy when they are within 2 inches, but they won't move. I think this is a path finding bug in the AI.
4) Did I mention the fact that your view is practically crotch level? There is no way to take in the battlefield and effectively micro everything going on when all you can see is 2 or 3 buildings at a time. I've upped the resolution and everything, hasn't fixed the problem.
I'm not impressed, slightly "prettier" engine then generals, but I don't think it's better game play wise. I've always enjoyed the tiberium storyline though.

Re: C&C3 demo out now...
I know what you mean about the zoomed in. It's hard to see the big picture and I've gotten used to that after playing SupCom. I saw a friend playing a bit of Red Alert 2 and that has a better field of view than C&C3.
On unit stupidity, I don't find that the units don't move when engaging. It's the opposite for me. They move and keep chasing after enemy units. Even when my units aren't the right type to engage a particular enemy unit, they'll chase and get slaughtered as the AI lures my units away.
