LoL!
Well, that was kind of the reason why I started the strategy talk thread so that we can all share an learn from each other. In any case, it's about having fun more than anything else.

Re: Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War --- Who plays this?
GGs!
We were literally saved by the bell on the first couple of rounds we played, where we managed to take and hold enough SP/CP's to satisfy win conditions. I know for the round we played on "Forbidden Jungle", I was barely able to hold out with both a Necron and Eldar T3 army knocking at my front door, ack! Note to self: even a 5 vs. 3 bots on insane proved to be ... well, insane. That 125% resourcing bonus an Insane AI gets more than doubles the rate at which they can tech and churn out units. Our final round was a 4v4 on more moderate settings. We secured resources at center points, helped each other fend off a bot offensive, counterstruck their weakest faction close on their heels as they retreated before they could regroup, and it was downhill from there for the bots. The Orks, who led the initial offensive and took the heaviest losses early in the game, didn't stand a chance with a Space Marine and Necron army deep striking into their base, although the Eldar made a token effort to come to it's AI-Ally's aid. Overall, it was good times and I had fun. Let's set this up again for next week and hopefully we can get more people interested in playing human-on-human skirmishes.

Whoops! I almost forgot! This coming Saturday is not going to be good for me. It's my buddy's wedding that day. Let me know how things turn out if any of you decide to get together again for a couple rounds.
