DRAFT:
Request for a SWAT 4 server
What: A SWAT 4 dedicated server including the following:
SWAT 4 vanilla (of course)
The Stechkov Syndicate (expantion pack)
Swat Special Forces mod
Why: In the past few months, We've been trying to get groups together to play this great, albeit dated, game. And as a conclusion, I believe that there are enough people still interested to keep the server active. One of the greatest setbacks that we've faced in the last couple months all had to do with not having our "own" setup (i.e. different servers have different rules for playing, that don't always assist in creating a tactical/realistic environment). Also, without proper moderation, there was a chance (thankfully we've avoided it so far), that someone will come on and ruin the game for the rest of us. Some other the other advantages, is that it allows us to specifically "host" events, as well as being able to enforce our regular SWAT 4 SOP's. We are looking forward to growing the SWAT 4 community, and I (Shoomfie), am excited to look look to the future for this "game-of-the-past".
The SWAT 4 community here at TG is rebounding, and we feel that the need for our own server is grown to the point where we'd like to formally request one.
Thank you,
Shoomfie

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
