    Talking SWAT4 status... IMO...

    OK, we know that SWAT4 is a great game, but it's biggest problem has been the lack of missions and maps to keep it new and fresh...


    Well we also know that a add-on is in development, and is looking to add alot of good stuff including new weapons, new toys, new maps, and new missions...


    We know that there are a couple of modifications out there that are really worth taking a look at... like the SSF Realism Mod, now v2.0, and the Code 11 Mod... both doing the same thing, making adjustments and adding a little more of what SWAT4 gamers have wanted in there game...

    Well while looking and posting news this AM at my other virtual home, SimHQ, I found a couple of nice maps and missions worth sharing...

    I also found another mod, which I have downloaded and installed but still need to look more at...

    1st is the H.S.M.E. v2.0 mod:

    This Mod features Custom Skins (SWAT wearing City Camo , Suspects wearing Russian Tropical Camo) . 3 new weapons not found in Regular SWAT . All Weapons are selectable in Primary or Secondary slot . And More Armour Selections as well as More Helmet Selections and all of the gameplay tweaks found in H.S.M.E v1.1 .

    • Added Missing GUI Art to the VIP Ammo
    • Breaching Shot gun now has 15 rounds

    • No Reload sounds for the new weapons in 1st person

    • Raised the settings for Weapon Bob so you now have More Sway in your Weapon
    • Improved time its takes for you to lean by a fraction

    • Added VIP Silver Colt M1911 to Loadout
    • Added Auto, Burst and Single Shot to All Machine Guns
    • Raised the Magazine Count for the Pepper Spray from 10 to 16
    • Improved Zoom Speed but not too instant
    • Gas Mask now Resists Pepper-Spray and Pepper-Gun
    • Added Protec Helmet with New GUI picture
    • Added Riot Helmet with New GUI picture
    • Added Kevlar Helmet without Goggles with New GUI picture
    • Tazer Gun can now Shoot Twice before Needing Reloading
    • Disabled Zoom on Tazer Gun
    • Improved the Time is takes to Switch Between Primary and Secondary Weapons
    • Improved the speed of the Reticule Bloom for the AK-47 Slightly Faster
    • Added Custom Information to the Opti-Wand Display Screen
    • Reduced the Duration of the Sting Effects from the Beanbag Shotgun

    Setting for A.I Enemies chances of hitting you

    • Easy - We have Lowered it to make it bit Easier for Inexperienced Players.
    • Medium - We have Raised the Settings so they have a Better Chance.
    • Hard - We have also Raised the Settings so they have a Better Chance.

    Penalties

    • Removed Unauthorized Use of Force
    • Removed Unauthorized Use of Deadly Force
    • Raised the Penalty for Getting a Hostage Killed from (–15) to (–20)

    My god I love the Mt. McKenna maps... ones normal, and ones with snow...SWEET!

    I think TONIGHT, (Dec. 13th) around 8 PM Eastern, I'll throw up my own server with the Mt. McKenna maps and then some from the map pack mentioned above...

    All invited... I'll be on TS in the SWAT channel...

    Wow, the SP missions on the new maps in the HSM v2.0 expansion are amazing! Very well designed maps and HARD missions! Good stuff.

    The Construction site really is a single player map, you're all alone! That's not really SWAT realistic, but it was fun!

    And the Dept. of Criminal Justice is a meat locker, lol!

    We need to find or build some good MP Coop missions on those maps.

    for ease of use... I have uploaded to my web site all three of the popular, most recent SWAT 4 mods... all are executables, so very easy to install and use... and you can have and play all three plus the original without interference with the other mods... just double click the mod shortcut you want and it loads...

    I'm thinking about comparing the three, and giving a report soon... but other work first. lol
