New maps/missions... and opinions...
My favorite site for downloading new missions/maps/mods is Hot SWAT Mods...
http://hot-swat-mods.com/index.php (Yes, you have to sign up to download, sorry... thats the way most site are now-a-days.) They just released a new map called Operation Apollo, it is a self install map/mission meaning it has it's own exe to install. http://hot-swat-mods.com/modules.php...=getit&lid=751 A nicely done map, tested and approved by me (like I matter, lol) it's a 2 story hotel/motel... a great map for testing and learning your room entry's since theres about a dozen hotel rooms, and extra rooms, one with a hidden surprise, I won't ruin for you. I posted about Operation Daybreak a couple of days ago, a nicely down single residence that has three levels, hot tubs, swimming pool etc ect... bigger then it looks. Nice 30 minute co-op map. http://hot-swat-mods.com/modules.php...=getit&lid=747 SWAT uniform mod... not that great, ugly colors but good for squad control as a team element leader... http://hot-swat-mods.com/modules.php...=getit&lid=745 Dark Water map... no co-op, so I don't bother... http://www.hot-swat-mods.com/Maps/Da...rs_Install.exe Black Water Tactical Training map A very nicely done training map, supports ALL modes and must have the SS add-on... it has a nice cat walk to look down on and tons of training rooms... good for team training and/or video recording from high above. http://hot-swat-mods.com/modules.php...=getit&lid=742 and finally... a number of custom mission/maps packs... I have the HSM pack which contains about a dozen very nicely down maps, and I had no problems with any of them. http://hot-swat-mods.com/modules.php...wnloads&cid=47 Enjoy... I do. |

Re: New maps/missions... and opinions...
I tried Operation Apollo, a nice map, however I ran into some framerate issues at several points in the map. That one room with the fire, smoke and the strobe light really killed my framerate. Not quite as good as Daybreak, but I think Daybreak is a great small map.
I'll give the HSM pack a try later. |

Well the fire was the surprise, lol...that I didn't want to ruin....
How is it bad guys are standing in a burning room waiting for you to come in, lol... I played it three times w/o a problem, but I do have a kick butt system. ![]() Just wondering... whats your system specs? |
