I've found during beta that the Ping really doesn't matter that much. Like Gambit said, its really an RPG, so there are timers, and damage rolls and calculations rather than shot accuracy.

When I was playing on a (high) wilderness shard, i noticed that there would sometimes be significant lag between shots and hits, but switching to a (low) shard always fixes the problem.
This problem was magnified during the EoB event, as people went around trying to chase down the real British. Almost the entire server population crowded into one shard, and things pretty much shut down. I stood on the teleporter for 5 minutes and got nothing. Took me a minute to get across the courtyard to the drop-ship pad. Stood there for 2 minutes before being able to port to a new shard.
Anyways... There always seems to be a way to get away from the lag. Especially since there are now 10 shards, rather than just 7.

SO what is the final verdict? I think I will go out and buy the software today and see you all tonight.

Forgot how cool NCSoft does their accounts and stuff.. I am so impressed with the way they do business. I already have several NCSoft accounts and actually did play a few days of beta so it was just a matter of buying software online and activating the account. No trips to BestBuy.. Gamestop or wherever.. all was done online and I already have software downloaded.. so no waiting.. I will be online tonight. Later ya'll! I think I saw you all say Pegasus right?

Yah, Pegasus is where we be. The server seems pretty stable and rarely goes over medium population. Regardless, we've spent most of our time on Wilderness 7 for the newbies. Most of us are done with that zone though, so I'd suspect we'll be hanging on a particular server for the Divide continent also.
