    Question Clan Name(s)

    Okay, this is probably the most important thing we need to decide right now. That is, what should we name this Clan we're about to form? One thing to consider is, do we want to ever form more than 1 TG clan (ala in-house squads)? If so, it may be beneficial to name the Clan something specific... or, maybe not LoL Also, I believe most special characters are NOT allowed when naming a clan (so no @|*, - etc.)

    Anways, please list your ideas here so we can get this nipped in the bud before Tuesday.
    Note: I AM checking to see if ANY special characters are indeed allowed...

    Of the top of my head (so far) I've got:
    -Tactical Gamer
    -TacticalGamer
    -TG The Old Breed
    -TG The Walking Dead
    -TG 1st AFS


    Of course, the K.I.S.S. method would support Tactical Gamer or TacticalGamer.

    So I guess the best way will be "Tactical Gamer" as the 1st Clan. Any sub-clans would be: "TG ****"

    Gambit,

    That honestly seems like the best way to go. I'm also wondering if there is ever any interest in a semi-roleplaying aspect at TG? I know it might help us recruit some players if we keep that part of the game as an option.

    Not saying that's the route I want TG to take in TR, just that we should keep it in mind in game. TR has a rich background and story line which is fertle ground for Role Players to mass in. CoX was the same way, and there were a TON of people that got into that aspect of the game.

    Just something to keep in mind when you go on your insidous recruiting trips.

    y'know. I'd given serious thought to RP elements, but honestly... TR wasnt built around RP at all. Why?? I dont know.

    -They dont have player housing (yet)
    -You cant manipulate game objects (chairs, beds, etc.)
    -Crafting and economy are afterthoughts
    -No /roll command
    -And above all, you dont have a /emote command (it's supposed to be added though)

    It's a shame, because everyone I've seen so far really likes the story line. As do I. I've seen a few groups get deep into being their characters as a Soldier, but beyond that it's tough to really enact it in-game.

    If they allowed 3rd party mods for TR all this would be easily remedied. It'd be a no brainer with active player housing also.

    I have limited time now that I am employed. As much as I like RPing, it takes a lot of effort. I'd rather kill baddies. I guess I could RP that =P
