    Worth Buying?

I have read so much about Tabula Rasa and still are not sure if i should get the game. I have read a lot about it and some people say its horrible others say its amazing.

If someone would post some screen shots and tell me your Pro's and Con's about it, i would greatly appreciate it. (I have played many RPGMMO's used to play WoW was to addicted and quit, also still play EVE Online and play Guild Wars. Not to mention all of the FPS's)

    Thanks in advance

A screenshot is worth a thousand words.

The combat... man. Unlike most MMOs, combat is very fluid and dynamic. It's actually fun to kill stuff. And the Assault/Defend CP missions (as pictured above)? Absolute, thrilling chaos.

    Give it a shot, man.

Hows the combat mechanics? Is it all autoaming boxes and locked-in-place spells/attacks like other MMOs or is it run and gun?

Is that screenshot taken on high settings? I hope not. Health bars also seem horribly obtrusive.

It looks better on my pc. The health bars you see are for his squad members, only 2 of the enemy bars are visible in that screenshot. As for locking on, yes you can run and gun, you don't have to lock on a target but you can and it will track to a certain limit. It's very useful when something's moving around and dodging you. It's fun as hell blasting a shotgun at something as you run by and knock it back (at higher firearms pumps). It's not fully FPS combat but pretty close. There's no clicking an attack button and just sitting there. Cover matters (more important later in game), stance matters, moving while shooting matters, range matters. Planetside was/is one of my favorite games of all time. This is similar but has more of the rpg element (no vehicles either but they are being added). So yeah, I love the game so far. There are some bugged missions but overall there's no real game stopping bugs. I've taken some video that I'll stick together and post later also.

So definitely not like Anarchy Online? I hated the combat mechanics in that game.

You should encode your vids in .wmv if you can. This way people can stream the content rather than having to open/save the whole file before they can view it. hmmm, I wonder if a screenshot/video thread would be cool. There's so much action in this game that I think it'd be a good idea.

Nice vid btw! I saw last night's Krimm/Dew CP battles in there. (I saw myself about to get killed by 4 Bane dropship squads). You should take some vids of the CP battles on Arieki, I hear they're more intense than the lower lvl zones.

Yeah they definately are, I've forgotten to record at them. Ortho on incline gets hit real hard at the south entrance. I'll have to go over there and defend some

You need the xvid codec installed. I believe you can get it from DivX.com. Otherwise, just DL the divx player or any other suitable aviplayer.
