• Drivers are not required to attend every event. League standings are tracked for those interested in overall Series Championship ranking. Each event will award points for the Feature Race as well as bonus points (per individual Series rules).
• Drivers wishing to participate in Season events must register an account on our SLS page (for race results and career management).

Race Conditions

• Professional level difficulty - All driving aids, except for automatic clutch, are disabled by the server.

Flag/Track Rules

• The server will automatically issue cautions, warnings, and penalties as needed. These will be detailed in a future update to this document (if necessary).

Driver(s) not finishing

• Did Not Finish (DNF) – automatic by server when the car runs out of fuel, or is so wrecked that it cannot be driven. Also the result if the driver hits the ESC key at any time during the Race Session, which removes them from the race.
• Disqualified (DQ) – automatic by server when a driver breaks serious rules and/or ignores penalties for the same.
• Malfunctioning hardware – if the driver’s computer, controller(s), internet connection, etc cannot perform reliably, or fails altogether (PC crash, lost connection, USB port fries, pedal breaks, etc) they will be considered to have suffered the equivalent of a session-ending mechanical failure (such as a blown engine). This will be recorded as a DNF. Note that this does not apply if multiple users are dropped close to one another as this is likelier to be a server problem and invokes the following rule.

Server crashes or loses connection to clients

• In the event that several, if not all drivers, suffer persistent lag or are disconnected from the game by fault of the server/host connection, then the race is cancelled (the equivalent of calling the race on account of severe weather).
• The race may be rescheduled if the drivers agree. Conditions of the rescheduled event will be determined by the drivers (rules to be provided in an update to this document as needed).

Wreckers

• Any driver who deliberately crashes into one or more vehicles will be immediately disqualified. Any repeated offense will result in a ban from future TG League Racing events. Guidelines will be created as needed to enforce this rule. However, there is no reason to expect that TG members in good standing will engage in such behavior, so there is little if no need to anticipate such occurrences.

Open Practice/Warm-up Session

• 20 minutes
• To establish network connectivity, controller performance, etc.
• Automatically advances to Race Session at the end of the 20 min limit.

Qualifying Session

• None – drivers will be placed on the grid randomly

Race Session

• 5 laps (adjustable, depending on track length/lap times for given make of the event).
• The race will begin with a Grand Prix (standing) start when all cars are spawned on the starting grid, and the 3-2-1 timer counts down to ‘GO.’
• The race will end when the last car crosses the finish line on the last lap.

Pit Stops

• Although the pits will be functional and accessible throughout the race for fueling, tires, and (when possible) repairs, pitting is not recommended due to the short duration of each Sprint race.
• Entering the pit lane will bring the car under autopilot control until it stops at its assigned position.
• Exiting the pit will be under the driver’s full control. Announce over Teamspeak when preparing to re-enter the track.
• Speeding in the pits incurs a stop-and-go penalty, issued automatically by the server. Make sure you have your pit speed limiter key/button mapped conveniently. Enabling this when leaving the pits will prevent speeding.

Point Awards

Championship points will be awarded according to drivers’ finishing positions, so long as they completed the race:

• First Place = 10 pts
• Second Place = 8 pts
• Third place = 6 pts
• Fourth place = 5 pts
• Fifth place = 4 pts
• Sixth place = 3 pts
• Seventh place = 2 pts
• All other finishers = 1 pt each
  
• All DQ or DNF results = 0 pts

Bonus points will be awarded as follows:

• Fastest lap = 1 pt
• Lead at least one lap = 1 pt
• Most laps lead = 1 pt

Open Practice/Warm-up Session

• 30 minutes prior to scheduled Qualifying session
• To establish network connectivity, controller performance, etc.
• Admin will advance to Qualifying Session at the end of the 30 min limit, or when all drivers are present and ready to Qualify.

Qualifying Session

• 15 minutes
• To establish starting grid. Cars posting no Qualifying time will be randomly placed behind those that did.
• At the end of the Qualifying Session (which will automatically end when the timer runs out), all drivers must self-advance to the Race Session when the timer appears in the Garage menu. Failure to join the grid before the timer runs out will DQ the driver from participating in the race (this is automatic; admin has no control over timer).

Race Session

• 20 laps (adjustable, depending on track length/lap times for slowest make of the event).
• The race will begin with a Grand Prix (standing) start when all cars are spawned on the starting grid, and the 3-2-1 timer counts down to ‘GO.’
• The race will end when the last car crosses the finish line on the last lap.

Pit Stops

• Fuel consumption and tire wear will be 2x normal in order to approximate a longer race. While this will likely necessitate pit stops for replenishment (depending on car and conditions), it is not a rule mandating a pit stop.
• The pits will be functional and accessible throughout the race for fueling, tires, and (when possible) repairs.
• Entering the pit lane will bring the car under autopilot control until it stops at its assigned position.
• Exiting the pit will be under the driver’s full control. Announce over Teamspeak when preparing to re-enter the track.
• Speeding in the pits incurs a stop-and-go penalty, issued automatically by the server. Make sure you have your pit speed limiter key/button mapped conveniently. Enabling this when leaving the pits will prevent speeding.

Point Awards

Championship points will be awarded according to drivers’ finishing positions *within their class*, so long as they completed 75% of the race (in laps).

If 3 or more drivers start the race in the same class, scoring in the class is as follows:

• First Place = 10 pts
• Second Place = 8 pts
• Third place = 6 pts
• Fourth place = 5 pts
• Fifth place = 4 pts
• Sixth place = 3 pts
• Seventh place = 2 pts
• All other finishers = 1 pt each
• DNF will receive points *IF* the driver completed at least 75% of the race laps. If less, than the driver receives 0 points.

If fewer than 3 drivers start the race in the same class, scoring in the class is as follows:

• First Place = 5 pts
• Second Place = 4 pts
• All DQ or DNF results = 0 pts

Due to mixed class structure, no bonus points will be awarded.
