Anyone play Star Wars Empire at War or Forces of Corrouption?

Over the weekend I purchased "Star Wars Empire at War" Gold pack, for a very cheap price and I was curious to know/am interested in knowing if anyone has played the multi-player version/is interested in playing the multi-player version.

I own it, but I don't have it installed. I could find it but I've never played multiplayer.

I read somewhere that the multiplayer setup is bugged? I'm going to do some searching and see if the official homepage is still up and if there is a fix, or something like that. TBH I haven't tested it out, I have though been enjoying the skirmish space battles and the galatic campaigns......

I messed around last night on the skirmish space battles and tried to destroy the enemy space station with just Xwings and BWings.

Can you LAN it with no problems? If so, we could just use Tunngle. I used it for Silent Hunter 5 LAN over the internet, works great and bypasses any normal online MP bullhockey.

I'm down for trying some LAN, that would bring back some memories of playing CS in Queens for hours on end.

Also, I don't quite understand how to install mods for EAW and FoC thru steam but I have downloaded some maps, I recommend the Yoden map pack, its over 50 maps (I really just enjoy the space maps) but I DL it yesterday and tried it out, its pretty cool, and they are easy to dl use.

I have tried the multi-player and the bugs that I thought I encountered were before steam updated the necessary patches.

I had it a while ago and played it then didn't like it much and can't find the discs anymore. Hope you guys enjoy it though. I didn't give it much time. I'd recommend playing a couple full games all the way through.

Was it ever any better than my Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds? Official Total Conversion of Age of Empires 2 into a Star Wars themed game, where you could play as Rebels, Empire, Gungans..

Sorry for not checking up on this.

I have had some interesting multiplayer rounds, with no lag at all and would be up to trying some LAN gaming also.

I also recommend the yoden all 71 map pack for foc (forces of corruption) there are some really interesting maps. I've been messing around with some custom map packs but atm don't have the know how in regards to setting up the various mods which have been created.

Sorry for not checking back, I recently added the Space Add-on Mod, I will find out the exact name of the mod. It's for FoC and it is an awesome mod which also increases the number and types of spacecraft, capital ships which you can use.

Also my crucial.com RAM has torpedoed me, all 4 gigs have gone KERPLUNK!

if you guys end up doing a LAN game let me know how it goes, if you have FoC i do recommend this space add-on, I also don't know how to remove it without removing the entire game - I'm such a computer gaming noob.
