Just incase you didn't see it, GTR Evo has option for manual clutch control... maybe you are trying to shift without clutch and it is killing your car? I play with manual gears but I leave auto clutch on...

Get a decent mouse and mousemat and you'll be fine for GTR Evolution. It's a bit hard to get used to and the only real downside is using the keyboard which prevents smooth braking and acceleration which makes driving some cars a bit of a nightmare (Like the Sunred SR21)

I map my basic keys as:

W - Accelerate
D - Brake
Q - Shift Up
Space - Shift Down
A - Look Back

It feels really natural as a FPS player but I haven't mapped Look Right/ Left ect. as I'm pretty aware of my surroundings.

If you want some help with GTR Evolution/Race 07/STCC just PM or something as I'm on it a lot.

what kind of wheel would you suggest buying if i were to get into this?
