YEAH, Its true!!! Best Buy does have it for $20. I went today and bought a copy. They had to get it from the back though. Their computer showed 4 copies, yet the shelf had zero. I said I wasn't leaving till I had one in my hand!!!

Re: Anyone getting GTR2?
Finally got it in the mail yesterday and tried it out for a few minutes. I wish the GTL cars had the same braking power as the new race cars do. I do like the feel of the GTL cars better though, they just feel more solid.

Re: Anyone getting GTR2?
Yeah. I feel connected to GTL cars. They actually (for the most part) were production cars that an average joe could have conceivably driven. Even with racing modifications, the engineering is still based on the production design. So there's a distinct feel that the pure, purpose-built cars seem to lack. Modern pure racers are so 'perfect' that they seem almost sterile. Nothing grass roots about em the way you get in a classic.
Still, GTR2 cars are a helluva fun ride. Outstanding racing to be found in both eras. You just gotta like old as well as new.

Re: Anyone getting GTR2?
I've only spent 5 minutes on the track in GTR2.

And I haven't driven GTL since last week's race.
I'm going to be putting in 5 min laps this next race.

Re: Anyone getting GTR2?
I like GTR2, but I like GTL more. As has been said, the imperfections of the cars - and slower speeds - make it a bit more fun for me.
