Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships

yep, the yearly is a better deal, $8.95 x 12 = $107.40 per year in the monthly package.

107.40 - 80 = 27.40 (amount you are saving with yearly package)

But I might do the monthly thing when I join, extra money for the community, but not as much as the platinum yearly, which I won't be able to afford. (but maybe I'll be able to afford the platinum monthly...I need to really think about this lol)

Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships

I definately am going to become a supporting member. TG has over the past year renewed my fun in gaming. I truly enjoy all the people I get to play with and the level of play on the servers. I have actually asked Santa (Wife) for a membership for X-mas If she doesn't buy it I will be subscibing as soon as shes back to work.

Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships

Two ways that I look at this:

[1] I'm supporting a community where I've had stupid amounts of fun...and that fun drys up real fast w/out the community.

[2] The value for my entertainment $ is excellent. It costs me just over $10 to go to a movie...that's 2 hours of entertainment. Now, I play way more than 2hrs a month on the TG servers for less. No fair you say...not apples to apples? Well, consider this...my TG "movies" are never sold out, and I don't wait in line. SM for the win!

Cheers,

To quote myself from the thread of the same name in the COD forums, probably was summed up in the OP of this thread, anyway;

Cheers,
Exactly, it's frightening how good value for money becoming an SM is.

And bottom-line, like Undead said (hey that rhymes) you are helping you're community with such a small amount amoney, and get so many benefits. (Seriously I'm becoming an SM when I get my life sorted out)

Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships

When you look at the the big picture $8.95 is an amazing deal. If I want to transfer a file I use my TG FTP space. When I want to chill out for a couple of hours then I play a couple of rounds of my favorite games with my friends. When a new patch comes out for my games then I download it from the high speed member downloads. When I want to just chat then I loiter here i the forums or in the TG IRC (admittedly I haven't been there in a long time). That is a lot of fun for under $10 and none it it would be possible without the supporting memberships.

Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships

Um, I've kinda got a dumb, technical question. Just curious... Say my inbox has a couple of messages already. When I buy that supporting membership my message box doesn't wipe when it jumps to 500 does it?

Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships

I would hope not, I'll PM an admin (or any SM for that matter should know) about it and post back.
