One of the many ways that players can show
One of the many ways that players can show their support for Tactical Gamer is through purchasing a supporting membership (SM). Supporting memberships are the major component to keeping the lights on here at Tactical Gamer.
The funds received go towards items like domain names, forum software, advertising, servers, storage space, teamspeak, etc. No individuals or administrators receive any money for their service. Additional funds received go into a pool of funds that are utilized when new games are released and we don't have the player-base required yet to support the game.
Quite a few new games have come to market over the past few months and Tactical Gamer has dipped into this pool of funds to provide all of you the capability to play these games Tactical Gamer style. When these new games are released and supported by Tactical Gamer, there are times when other servers begin to make their way out the door. To make sure that your existing favorite game(s) or new release continues to be supported by Tactical Gamer, please consider becoming a supporting member.
To show our appreciation, Tactical Gamer does offer some additional benefits for supporting members. Here are just a few of those benefits:
Personal @tacticalgamer.com email address
Personal FTP / Web space
Access to members-only forums
Access to members-only FTP for high-speed downloads of the latest patches, mods, etc.

Ability to join an In-house squad (IHS)
Reserved slots in most of our game servers

In addition you can show additional support with our Platinum monthly ($18.95) and yearly ($225) memberships. At this time Platinum memberships do not receive any additional benefits, however the additional funds to provide for additional and more powerful servers. We offer the platinum membership options at the request of the players. Some players had inquired about a method to donate additional funds to Tactical Gamer.
The preferred payment option is paypal, however if you would like to use an alternative payment option, please contact Apophis directly. Please place "Supporting Membership" in the subject line of any PM/email.
Becoming a supporting member is not a requirement, nor does it make your opinion more important than others. Supporting memberships are one way to show your appreciation for the services offered by Tactical Gamer. Show your support to keep the lights running at Tactical Gamer!

We admins help keep the community running, But It's the supporting members that make this place so wonderful and enjoyable place to play. With the SMs, none of us would be here. Thank you everyone

Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships
Best value is the $80 a year or $6.66 (give or take a few pennies) a month! I don't like to tell people how spend their money but in this case....If your spending alot of time on here and enjoy the servers, gameplay and company of other players than make the small investment for a great return.
Here's a few ways of becoming a supporting member -
1)Buy 6 less sodas a month (colas, pop depending on where you are) bought from 7-11 or your favorite conevience store. You will lose weight, feel better have a reduced chance of getting diabetes and your dentist will thank you.
2)Buy 4 less coffees a month. Who needs all that coffee? Seeing people walk around with those oversized Starbucks coffee cups is nasty anyway. Not only can you afford the TG membership your teeth won't be stained.
3)Walk to the grocery store or ride your bike. Gas averages around $3.00 in the States, the cost of operating an automobile can be upwards of .50 cents a mile(maybe more). You will get some exercise, save money and for those who think global warming is caused by burning fossil fuels, save the planet and support TG.
4)For god's sake, STOP buying bottled water! First it's a scam, secondly it's a waste with all the plastic bottles thrown away and thirdly the United States has perhaps the finest cleanest public water system in the world. So fine, Pepsi is bottling and selling tap water! Cut out the bottled water and not only can you afford the $80 a year but certainly move up to the $225 yearly with no problem.
5)Don't buy her dinner, drinks, trips or movie tickets. You want to score by spending the least possible amount of money(that's for another thread). No drink on that girl who is not going to give you the time of day any way will get you a monthly TG membership.
Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships
Just something to remember when thinking of the Supporting Memberships.
-- Many of the games we enjoy playing every day would simply be unplayable without a community of like-minded individuals who all come together here to make Tactical Gamer what it is. Without TG, I know at least for myself, my level of gaming enjoyment would be much, much lower.
-- These game servers, the websites, the TS server, and all of that cost money. Quite a bit of it actually.
-- Nobody at TG makes any money from this. Each of the admins also pay for their own supporting memberships, and Apophis takes nothing home with him.
So if you believe in the community and feel that it offers you something that you cannot find anywhere else, then please consider helping to support it.
-- Suits are what you wear when doing things you shouldn’t want to do anyway.
FROM THE TACTICAL GAMER PRIMER.
3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.

Thank you all for being SM's! Without you, Eroak would be able to concentrate fully on just ordering me around
Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships
Instead of buying that new game that just came out that you'll play twice and uninstall, grab a supporting membership! It's worth every penny, and then some.
Re: Show your support through Supporting Memberships
I cant wait to become a Supporting Member, as soon as I get on track ill be able to support this amazing community. Thank you all that are already SM's.
Bravo Microsoft, you have now surpassed EA in poor decisions and once and for all seized the crown for the worst 'Reveal' ever. That EA were standing there on the stage with you when you did it was...

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
