Battlefield Conquest League has
announced its
BF2142 12v12 Titan competition season is approaching fast. The deadline for registration is February 15, and competition begins March 3.
Community member Nixon
tells us about the
Battlefield: Korea mod, a user-made modification for
Battlefield 2 that is still under construction. It looks like it's
shaping up to be pretty good, but the mod team needs help from coders and animators! Also, the mod team is looking for a server to run a beta test.
Project Reality Mod (BF2) password nights on Thursday and Sunday. These nights have traditionally featured very high quality gameplay, and generally reduce the ratio of pubbie minded players to hardcore players significantly. See

Calling all
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars players at
TG: an
internal scrimmage is planned for Sunday, January 27 at 2:30 p.m. Teams will be set once enough people sign up.
Counter-Strike: Source PCS Lockdown night on Friday, January 11. Fridays are PCSLockdown Day. All day on Friday, Server 1 will have a password. Please see the announcement in the
CS:S forum for more information.

BFCL. It doesn't look like signup is open, but they do have
rules posted.

Consumer Electronics Show opened its doors Sunday in Las Vegas. There's usually a few bits of gaming-related news that come out of the show. G4TV is broadcasting live from Vegas, so check your local listings.

Flatout: Head On - A demolition derby-style arcade driving game. This is the first incarnation of the series to appear on PC.
Rail Simulator - EA Games entry into the train simulation market, presumably to compete with Microsoft's anticipated title, Train Simulator 2.
Carrier Strike Force - A third-party expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. This expansion by Abacus Software features a series of missions that begin and end on an aircraft carrier.
